I’ve been coming here for 15+ years and have just come back after not visiting for a year. Somethings changed and I’m not loving it. The buns are different, the flavor is different and they totally changed the fries. Not a fan of the food changes.

I've been going for over 10 years. After the remodel, it's just not the same. The character has been ripped out and replaced with a cold, modern aesthetic that begs people to take their food and leave. The fries used to be salty goodness, but I can't touch them now. As for their famous cheese steaks; they've somehow lost their magic also. No doubt a lot of money was spent on fixing up the place, but this is a classic example of good intentions ruining a good thing. New Jersey Joes has gone the way of 'New Coke' I'm sorry to say.

This place has gone down hill. Been a loyal customer for years. This recent change to meat and fries has been terrible. The cheesesteak I got today had rock hard pieces of meat. The fries are super oily. The old steak fries were the best 100x better, who cares if they were frozen.

Very good service, charismatic and fast. Good prices and many options. They have promotions for free potatoes.
Ordered through DoorDash and oh goodness, hands down the best Philly cheesesteak I’ve ever had. The fries are equally amazing too.

The original owners made the best cheesesteak sandwiches.
New ownership lost the magic with meat substitution. It's not made from ribeye anymore. Maybe sirloin or New York Strip which resulted in a drier extra chewing effort. A very dry and flavorless sandwich which cost almost $20. They cut corners on the most important part.
The sandwiches aren't the same. Massively disappointed. They need to remove the phrase - made with Ribeye steak. It is not Ribeye anymore.
I won't be coming back. This was an institution of Belmont. It is no more.
