Delicousss! Best cheesesteak and burger you can have! You can not find a better cheesesteak in the Bay Area that will beat this place. People mention that they are new owners, but those who say are not a regular. Same great taste, same good vibe just with a revamped interior!

I had my last Jersey Joe’s yesterday. The place looks better but the food is totally not the same as before, sadly.

Hard pass. Awful experience last time I went. Completely different place and the food is terrible. Owner is rude- just read the responses to any review that isn't glowing. Don't waste your time.

Steak was so thick and chewy. If you’re the owner, be there at the restaurant and manage because your employees don’t care about the quality.

*One Star Review: Jersey Joe's Cheesesteak – Disappointing After the Remodel**I used to love Jersey Joe's cheesesteak. I mean, I would drive all the way from Pittsburgh just to get one. The ribeye meat was always tender and high-quality, with just the right amount of cheese, peppers, and mushrooms in every bite. It was worth every mile and every penny. Unfortunately, my last visit after their remodel left me seriously disappointed. We ordered five cheesesteaks, hoping to share that amazing taste with friends. Instead, what we got was far from the quality I remembered. The meat no longer tasted like ribeye—more like ground beef with big, chewy fatty bits. It was unpleasant and tough to chew. The balance of cheese, peppers, and mushrooms was off, and I kept hitting pockets of fat and gristle. It felt like someone had taken what made Jersey Joe's great and thrown it out the window.Honestly, I wouldn't mind paying a bit more if it meant getting back the quality and flavor I used to love. Now, I can't justify the drive from Pittsburgh anymore. It's just not worth it. I'd rather spend more money at a place that takes pride in their cheesesteaks than waste my time and appetite here. Jersey Joe's, you used to be amazing—what happened? Oh thats right new owner…

We used to order cheesesteaks from or pick up from here from time to time and they were pretty decent. For context I’m Born and raised in Philly I have eaten at least 1000 cheesesteaks in my life. I travel back to Philly 1-2x a year and get a cheesesteak every time. The last time we went to Jersey Joe’s, I got a cheesesteak and my wife got a chicken cheesesteak. The steak meat was barely chopped and bland. It was tossed in the box in a way that it looked more like a bread bowl than a cheesesteak. The chicken was just chunks of chicken breast thrown into slightly soggy bread. Again, in a too small box in the configuration of a bread bowl. The interior is redesigned so I guess they have new ownership or something. It used to be a place that had an authentic feel, now it just seems like another fast casual sandwich place masquerading as a cheesesteak shop.Nice workers and excellent service though!Edit post reply from management:I had to lower my review to one star. It seems like whomever manages the social media here would rather use ChatGPT to debate with and gaslight reviewers, rather than fixing their nasty meat bowls.Improve your food, travel to Jersey or Philly, actually eat a 'real' cheesesteak, then try again. Or if you can't travel, at least hire a consultant to show you how it's done. You all are just flying by the seat of your pants, throwing meat inside of some bread, slapping the name Jersey on top, and think that makes it a cheesesteak.Stop.

What happened to this place?!!? I've been coming here for over 15 years and its been really bad after the remodel and menu revamp. Must have been change in ownership cuz the cheese steaks are not the same. This is the 2nd time I've had the chewiest meat with huge long pieces of inedible tendon. They can't be using rib eye. Fries were the crumbs like the end of the basket and worst of all the prices are insane. Menu is too big and the new owner must be trying to expand but why not keep it as it was? Why do we need 2 sizes of sandwiches now? It was always crowded here but not as much anymore. Almost 25 bucks for a plain cheesesteak combo and a side of whiz. Will be finding a new place. Sad.Yes 25 after tax not including tip.

First time back since the remodel and sadly will be our last time. No way that this is ribeye. It's tough and has tendons. My husband was a butcher for years and has never seen ribeye like that. The meat is thick and not sliced or chopped like it was previously. We asked the worker if it was ribeye and he said he wasn't sure, which really makes us think it isn't. Fries are dry and over cooked... the brown brick walls are ugly and we miss all the cool photos. My husband used to brag about this place and now its just nothing special. So disappointing. Make jersey joes great again.

Prices went up, quality went way down. Don't feel the need to order from here anymore. Which is a shame, this place used to be really good. Guess the remodel changed everything, and not in a good way.

Really bready cheese steak sandwiches. I'm more of a fan of the amoroso rolls which aren't as thick as the ones they have here. It's okay in a pinch.Edit:Had to lower my rating to one star after my last visit. A few things have changed after the remodel, and I'm not talking about the decor. The fries went from steak fries to these limp, grey, wet, skinny things that taste bland and squishy. The cheese steaks themselves haven't gotten any better, and now it seems like they're just adding spiciness to the sandwiches to cover up the bland. Also, I usually order double cheese, and this last time it was missed, but I was still charged for it (took it to go, and was at home when I found out). All in all, not really motivated to go back to this place again since the food quality to price ratio has severely decreased. And judging from how empty the place was when I was in there, others are staying away as well.

Being from Philly, this was a go-to spot for a cheesesteak craving. Had not been in a while and decided to stop in today. It was so disappointing. The roll was bad, the meat wasn't chopped into steak, rather it was huge chunks, and the taste was awful. So sad to see this place change so much and not for the better. Will not be going here again.
