Ordered an order for a home party for pickup on 1/1 on Uber Eats. Arrived to find the restaurant closed. You guys should have turned off your account on Uber Eats to prevent this massive inconvenience.

Ordered through Door Dash and received very poor quality food. The Basil Chicken was advertised as chicken breast and it was clearly thighs. It was filled with onions and barely any meat. The garlic noodles with bbq pork again poor quality. Pork tasted very old.
Very disappointing considering the price that was paid. $100 +

Excellent food with some classics and a few surprises. Fast service that I loved. Paid cash and wasn’t expensive at all. Love the place!

Always like a place where the windows open up to the street, and there are a couple tables in front on the sidewalk you could use with your pup. The decor is simple but nice. The service a bit on the slow side, but nothing to complain about assuming you're not in a hurry. Food is very good and flavorful. But being Burmese don't expect your pad thai to be like in Thailand (here it is a little sweeter), nor your curry like India (not as spicy). We came for lunch midweek, and it is a bit expensive for lunch (because all they serve is off the same menu used for dinner). So your better value may be dinner. Our bill was $60 for two without tip or any alcohol.

Cozy, casual, family restaurant. Friendly service, well-prepared dishes. Lots of vegan options.

The food was ok - However, take this with a grain of salt cause I was an omnivore who ended up eating out of the vegetarian menu with no spice out of support for her cancer-battling friend, so the dishes we ordered was all vegetarian friendly with low spice.

That being said - DO NOT ORDER THE TURMERIC RICE. My friend ordered that and when I took a bite.....I would say that it was the first time I have ever been fumigated by turmeric, and may it be the last. My friend didn't make it past two bites. The service was ok, but we went there at around 1:30pm on a Saturday so there was only one waitress working. The ambiance was fantastic and everything looks very upscale.

Will I come back? Sure, to try other dishes. If I really dislike a person and happen to be stuck with them and we're both ordering at this restaurant...I'll recommend them the turmeric rice (j/k...kinda).

Three friends and I dined at Rangoon Ruby in San Carlos on a quiet Thursday evening (except for a wild 49ers game that was being celebrated in nearby establishments!). We chose all vegetarian options, and everything was plentiful and delicious. We had the tea leaf salad, (very light and refreshing), the garlic eggplant (deep purple and delicious without being gooey), Burmese pad tai (pungent sauce on perfectly cooked noodles) and veggie kabat (a mix of vegetables and tofu stir-fried with paprika, masala, tamarind, jalapenos, mint leaves, tomatoes, onions and cilantro) . We also had two orders of coconut rice. The salad plus three main courses was plenty of food! We thought everything was delicious and comparatively (in this neighborhood!) reasonably priced. We were treated very respectfully and were allowed to take our time.

Rangoon Ruby is our go to date place or any celebration place. We have celebrated my family’s birthdays at Rangoon Ruby and the experience is delightful.

Ordered the pad Thai, sesame chicken, and basil chili chicken. The pad Thai was unflavored, not spicy like I ordered, and basically tasted like it was tossed in ketchup. The sesame chicken was too sweet. The basil chili chicken also lacked in spice and flavor. Note: I have been and ordered from this location and others and this has been a drastic reduction in quality.

A branch of the other Burmese restaurant chain that has VERY large portions and good flavors! Recommend the tea lead salad and the Burmese pad thai, but we also tried the minted jalapeno chicken that was a good blend of flavors I never thought matched!

We had mild spice for all of them and it wasn't too spicy at all, so if you can handle spice, try medium!

The staff are very friendly and attentive, serving cucumber water and the interior is well-decorated and gives an air of sophistication while still being a more casual restaurant.

We had such a lovely evening dining alfresco on a warm Thursday night with friends! The sidewalk seating in San Carlos is perfect for people-watching, and the cozy indoor space looked just as inviting. Our server was friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. As always, we ordered our go-to favorites: the Tea Leaf Salad (so flavorful!), Ruby String Beans, and Coconut Rice. This time, we added the Mango Chicken and decided to try a new dish — the Minted Jalapeño Chicken — and wow, we're glad we did! It was bursting with flavor: minced chicken breast with fresh mint, cilantro, garlic, ginger, and just the right amount of jalapeño heat. It was a unanimous hit at the table, and we're already planning our return just for that dish alone! Delicious food, great company, and a fun setting — what more could you want?
