We had such a lovely evening dining alfresco on a warm Thursday night with friends! The sidewalk seating in San Carlos is perfect for people-watching, and the cozy indoor space looked just as inviting. Our server was friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. Ordered via UberEats. The Checkmate Beef Curry was especially bad, but so were the Burmese Curried Pork, the Eggplant & Garlic, the Broccoli & Garlic, the Country-style Beef and the Rangoon Lemongrass Chicken.
Update: was able to retry all of previously ordered dishes and was pleasantly surprised to find authenticity and freshly prepared dishes. Great flavors! I guess I caught them on a bad day and I’m glad that I had a chance to try them again.

We've eaten here on and off for many years. Seems to do a fair takeout business, but the restaurant is always empty theses days. Food is consistent, good but not exceptional. Service is poor, only one server for the whole restaurant and he is totally lacking in personality. We were there , on a reservation, for a 25th birthday and they did not even acknowledge it or provide a cookie. Not inclined to ever go back.
