Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard

Been a customer for years but their service has gotten consistently worse. Will not be coming back.

I used to come here often when I worked in the area and actually started bringing my little cousins here almost weekly over the summer. Over the last month, the staff consistently made us feel unwelcome, rolling their eyes and sighing each time we came in and served us less than standard serving sizes. During our last visit, our custard concrete was filled less than half way and when asked if this was a normal serving, the staff took it back reluctantly to fill it up to what they would normally serve, then slide it back to me across the counter so forcefully that the cup toppled over. The staff did not apologize and just walked away. Several times, we've given them the benefit of the doubt in hopes that maybe they were having a bad day but every time coming back the staff would give us attitude and make each experience less enjoyable.

We looked forward to getting Rita's after family dinner each week but the poor service is not worth the sweet treat.

Friendly service! I always order the same thing - a small Gelati with vanilla custard and whatever tropical fruit flavor they have for the Italian ice. A beautiful combination of creamy, icy, and fruity!

The staff here is always super helpful and friendly

This was amazing as always. We got a flight (4 flavors of ices with custard on top) and a gellati ( cup with 3 layers of ices flavors and 2 custard flavors). The mix of ices flavors and custards are always amazing. The service is also amazing as well.

This Italian dessert is so delicious, but what really stood out was the owners' customer service. Miles was amazing. We went in on a busy Friday night, and he was training and still made everyone feel so welcomed. My wife and I were amazed by how great his customer service was while we enjoyed our delicious sweet treat. Reccomend the Gelati or Concrete will be back to try something else

My first time at Rita's today. Definitely exceeded my expectations. Gentleman who served us gave us great service. I tried the Gelati with Black Cherry Italian Ice with Chocolate Custard which was absolutely delicious. After today this ranks at the top of my dessert/drink options.

Cute gelato shop .. love the choices .. Dragon Fruit a plus … nice sitting area .. only one street over from Laurel Ave .. pretending we’re getting GELATO in Milan 😂

Service: there was a line when we first came in. The line went pretty quickly and the person who assisted us was pretty patient in answering all of our questions too.
Ambiance: small, not too loud, and cold. The room smelled a bit strongly like cleaning solutions but better than terrible smell.
Food: the custard is soft, almost whipped cream-like. Not too sweet. The italian ice was also pretty good. The concrete ended up too sweet for me, I’ll get gelati next time.

Terrible. We went there to get some custard. I think it had been churning in the machine too long. Almost had the consistency of butter. Very few options for toppings. The ones they were out of were scratched off in sharpie. The guy working behind the counter was watching soccer on the TV the whole time and wasn't paying any attention to anything else.
