I love the lunch special menu - the value is super with three courses soup/salad, main and a little ice cream to finish. My salmon was a 5/5, extremely tasty and perfectly cooked. The reason for the middling food rating was my wife's burger, which was under cooked and tasted a bit off. Her broccoli soup was likely asparagus soup and was very tasty. Overall very pleasant - will come back, but they need to fix the burger.
Great food. Great service. Great value for money. We really enjoyed ourselves in this neighborhood gem.
Really liked the 3 course, fixed price lunch menu, this is a good option for smaller portions and light lunch!
Great neighborhood restaurant. They have daily lunch specials along with a three course lunch served every day. Service excellent. Would highly recommend.
I've been going to the CASK for a long time. I feel like the price of food has gone up but the quality may be down a bit. The salad I ordered didn't have the same great taste as before. The dressing seemed watered down, a ton of cranberries and maybe one walnut. For $24 the salad should be a wow, not a bummer. My husband's mixed vegetables were equivalent to a frozen bag warmed up. The Brussels sprouts were hard and unseasoned. The broccoli was ‘okay' and there was maybe two crinkle slices of carrots. I will give another chance because it has been a favorite
Ate outside in the parklet. Only thing I found distracting was people walking through on the sidewalk. Great service and food.
We have dined at task many times since it opened. It has been a go to for us for many years. Unfortunately, this time the food and service fell flat. We had the calamari appetizer and the breading was tasteless. Then two people were served their meals while the third person had to wait for their meal – 5 to 7 minutes later it arrived. The two orders of sliders we had were nowhere near as tasty as they used to be. And the crabcakes were not fully cooked in the center. That said, our waters were kept full, and the wait staff was cheerful. Them, not really as the fault of the restaurant per se, but somebody who was waiting for their takeout order stood nearby with her little dog for more than 15 minutes, and the dog consistently barked loudly. It would've been nice if the staff had provided her with a chair somewhere That didn't affect all the rest of the diners were asked her to come back given the noisiness of her dog. Multiple tables kept stopping their conversations because of the yapping. Sadly, I don't think we'll be returning again soon.
We arrived early around 5pm and all was quiet - within the hour, it was almost full and very lively so we experienced the best of both worlds enjoying a spot where we could catch up and then watched the crowd and noise level grow just as we were done. The staff was attentive and friendly.
Just a great neighborhood restaurant. One of our favorites and the owner is great for our community.
This place is one of our “go to” restaurants. Food is really good, service is great and decent value.

Always a great spot for a good dinner or lunch. You can sit inside or outside to enjoy nice weather. It is a great local spot to go
They did not honor our reservation for Valentine's night, so we did not get our table. Admittedly we were 10 minutes late as the multistory parking was full on such a busy night, but we didn't think we'd have to let one person out to grab the table while the other found parking since we had the reservation
The Cask Wine Bar is a reliable choice for a consistently high-quality meal, excellent wine, and friendly service. If it is not already on your dining list, be sure to add this restaurant as it never disappoints! I met a friend there last night, and we became engrossed in our conversation, the meal and the warm atmosphere and ended up lingering for nearly three hours. It was a wonderful experience!
Nice service, and they allowed us to linger for several hours with old friends whom we hadn't seen for quite some time. Would return again.
I love The Cask. It feels like my home away from home. Friendly service and delicious food. What more could you ask?! My favorite item is the Warm Napa Cabbage Salad with Salmon. The salmon is cooked to perfection, not dry and over cooked. The cabbage salad is a welcome on both a cold winter day and a balmy summer evening. Weekday offerings are a deal with a three course menu for $20. Beat deal in town!
