Came across this delightful restaurant for lunch after a nearby hike. It’s not located in the traditional San Carlos downtown, but worth the 5min drive away! Toss offers a delicious variety of salads, as well as some bowls, sandwiches, and soups. My friend and I both enjoyed salads. The ingredients are fresh and the dressings are house made. We also enjoyed fresh focaccia bread. Service was welcoming and friendly. We ordered for dine-in, but there was quite a number of take-out and pick-up orders. Made for a healthy and enjoyable lunch option!

The staff here is very friendly and helpful. The salads themselves are really tasty and filling. There is a lot of vegan options so if that's your jam, you're in luck. There is a nice collection of root beer and teas too (and beer as well!)!

I’ve ordered from this place twice, and while the salads have been decent, the order has been wrong both times. The first time I got a completely different salad, but I figured mistakes happen and ate it. This time I ordered avocado, cilantro lime dressing (and even paid extra for extra dressing) and they gave me some spicy red dressing, which I am not interested in. For a $20 salad, I expect more. I tried to call and it goes to voicemail. Will not be returning.

Great food and outstanding outdoor seating and delightful setting.
Only open on weekdays. Salads are made fresh and are delicious. Slightly on the pricey side as lunch will be around $20-25 per person especially if you want to add a piece of bread, cookies, or a drink but it's totally worth stopping by. I haven't had a salad I didn't like yet, but I'm not a fan of the tuna sandwich which is on the salty side and is made with tons of mayo.

Great, fresh salads, warm bowls, and panini. It’s a good amount of food but pricey for, essentially, a grab and go. They have a few tables outside and a couple inside but it’s self clearing.I’ve been a few times so the price obviously doesn’t deter me :)

Love this place! Everything is fresh and the portions are very generous. Great staff that isn’t rushed and take the time to get your order right. I highly recommend building your own salad with a mix of greens and some lean protein!

It would be great to have The Toss in Palo Alto, BUT the drive is well worth it! My favorite is the Siesta with added roasted garlic cloves! ? Very friendly staff, quality and serving portions are amazing! Everything is FRESH! I am very picky when it comes to my salads, this is the ONLY 'go to' salad place for me.

Kid-friendliness: Dog and Kid friendly. Owner is very friendly and provides excellent service.
