The ambiance was nice, but my food choice wasn’t great. I ordered the shaking beef—the meat itself was tender, but it came mixed with rice and salad, all covered in a generous amount of sweet-and-sour sauce that I didn’t like. I ended up eating only a little just to feel full. I think the sauce would be better served on the side, as it really affected my overall experience:/

Have a couple extra bucks to spend, because this place is worth it! Outside seating on Laurel Street let's you experience the essence of, The City of Good Living. The prime rib is succulent, and the loaded bake potato is off the hook! If you go here make sure to get the bread pudding a la mode.

Great place for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Food quality is always top notch. Their steaks are out of this world. And if you are there for brunch, make sure you treat yourself to Ramos Gin Fizz. Amazing!

Really good overall. However, I would order my steak one level of doneness less than I typically do at other restaurants if I were to come back . My “medium” steak looked more like medium well and another “medium well” looked like well done. They did offer to give me a new one but I could tell the waiter wasn’t happy about it and I didn’t want to wait for a new steak while the rest of our group already had their food. We loved the drinks, the food was still tasty, and I do feel like the steaks are a pretty good deal since they come with sides.

Met a good old friend for a special dinner. Town doesn't do reservations, so I was curious what a Monday at 6:00pm would be like. It was a rare warm February Monday on a full moon night, we got a table outside. The heat lamps were on. Our waiter was like *magic.* Literally. We ordered the BLT wedge salad to share. The waiter asked if we wanted it chopped for easier sharing, we said YES. Then we ordered our mains: filet of beef and porterhouse. Before our waiter even left the table with our order, the chopped BLT wedge was served. It was honestly like *magic* and we are still in awe about how that even happened, even now IDK. I had the baseball cut of filet (pictured) and it was absolutely flawless. I am always embarrassed to ask for it medium-well because I know I'm not supposed to do that. But the waiter smiled when I did and when it came out it was absolute perfection. A nice clean piece of meat done exactly how I like it, WELL. Town is my favorite local steakhouse now, even better than The Sundance Mine Company in Palo Alto. I highly recommend it. We didn't have room for dessert, but if the Not Your Grandma's Cheesecake came in the mason jar container to go I would've done it. No questions asked. What a fun time!

First Impressions want to thank the manager for finding and holding my girlfriend's phone for us to pick up after hours. We were flying out the next morning and she had to have it.

When we arrived we made the choice to wait for inside seating and to grab a drink at the bar while we waited. The wait ended up being short and we got a table before we were even halfway through our drinks. Both cocktails were good.

We were not terribly hungry so we decided to try the shrimp appetizer and tuna poke stack. The sauce that came with the shrimp was like a Cajun gumbo. We liked it so much we ordered extra bread to soak it up. The tuna was very fresh and we enjoyed that item as well. We decided to order the Huli Huli sushi roll and that was also very fresh and one of the better sushi rolls I've had in awhile. Last but not least we somehow saved room for the brownie dessert and split that as well.

It pains me a bit to give the service a 4 instead of a 5. The food came out incredibly fast, probably faster than anyplace I can think of in recent memory. However, at the beginning our waiter was slow and I think it was because of the number of tables he had because he got faster or more attentive as the night went along. There was nothing wrong with his service per se just that we had a few needs that took awhile to get addressed. Hence I put this down as a 4 because I cannot choose between 4 and 5 which is where the service really was.

I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area! We plan to come again the next time we are in town because there are items on the menu that we didn’t get to try this time. Sadly I did not take any pictures of the food as we were too busy enjoying the food and the atmosphere of Town!

Town absolutely delivered. The food was phenomenal, the drinks were perfectly balanced, and the entire experience felt polished without being stuffy.

We sat outside on a sunny afternoon that still had a little chill in the air, and they thoughtfully positioned the heaters for us which made it incredibly comfortable. Service like that matters.

One steak came out slightly overcooked, but they handled it flawlessly. Not only did they correct it quickly, they insisted on removing it from the bill entirely. That level of accountability speaks volumes.

I don’t usually gravitate toward fish, but the halibut was to die for. Perfectly cooked, flavorful, and executed with precision.

This place continues to set the bar for downtown San Carlos dining.
