April 25, 2024 Update:They now have a dish with the word sukiyaki in it, but it's just sukiyaki flavored beef served over rice, with broccoli. We've had sukiyaki served all over the country, and it never had broccoli. It should be served in the flavorful sukiyaki broth with onions, cabbage, tofu, bamboo shoots, and several kinds of Japanese noodles (clear and udon) with rice on the side. Never broccoli in a Japanese restaurant.I used to give them 5 stars. They no longer serve sukiyaki, and their beef terriyaki needs a better cut of beef, so my husband hates going there. We used to go there several times a month.

I am ABSOLUTELY DISAPPOINTED IN MYSELF for not trying this place any sooner LOL FINALLY A DELICIOUS AND BOMB Japanese restaurant and sushi place that’s close by to home. It’s really hard to find good places like this and so glad they started advertising on instagram. Everyone is super friendly, atmosphere is perfect and don’t think there’s anything wrong or bad about this place. We ordered to go only bc it’s been a long tiring week and wanted good food to take home and damn this place did not disappoint! I recommend anyone to come here and OH the portion sizes, my inner fatty is happpy ?Vegetarian options: Vegetarian sushi

Really enjoy this place. It is my go to spot for sushi in the area! The dishes taste authentic and are well crafted. I have had many rolls with the bonita roll being my favorite. I also recommend the Japanese curry and the tonkotsu ramen. Delicious. They serve sake, soju, and plum wine.Service is incredible with attentive wait staff and quick chefs. Slightly higher price than other nearby sushi places. The atomosphere feels a bit high end with dimmed down lights and clear japanese themes. Great spot for a date or causal eating. The meals are presented well when served.

Have been coming here for years, solid consistent quality fish. Now under new management and everything has changed .. they’re trying too hard to become the next hype restaurant.. i would spend at least 130$ every time just on sashimi / nigiri and the options are different and the chefs aren’t willing to make the rolls that I specifically came here for .. I’ll be looking for a new restaurant moving forward. Good luck

we found this place unexpectedly after the San Dimas Beer and Wine Walk last weekend.? Osaka Sushi? Hero Albacore Roll? Giant Roll (w/o the spicy mayo)It was such a pleasant surprise. Everything we got was delicious specially the nigiri pieces (I stole he unagi and the shrimp from my bf lol). The Osaka Sushi set came with: Yellowfin tuna, salmon, black snapper, yellowtail, tamago, shrimp, seared albacore, halibut, unagi, squid, and kanpyo maki.Haha in the first picture I already ate half of the hero albacore roll since it came before the other two. I think the hero albacore would taste better if it has some citrus sauce but it was still good tbh.The giant roll was sooo damn good the way I ordered it. It has salmon, spicy tuna, and scallop. This is my favorite of the two rolls we had.

Little Tokyo has and hasn’t changed a lot over the years. My family and I have been coming to this location for roughly 20 years, and it still is without a doubt, our favorite Japanese restaurant in Southern California. As of October 2023, they have changed their menu once again. It’s arguable whether the older or newer menu is better. The old one came with more for the same price, but the new one is more customizable to your liking. But despite everything, their quality has not dropped, and that’s what’s most important. Also, if you’re not a big sushi fan, we highly recommend what used to be called the Red Rock but is now called Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna under “Special Sashimi.” Absolute game changer and incredibly delicious. Everything I’m talking about is in the attached photo. See you there!
