Easiest maxed-out 5 start I could possibly leave. I don't live in the area anymore but my sister does and anytime I visit, we come to railside cafe. EVERYRHING is good. My sister and I always share a locomotive croissant and I crave one every day that I can't have one and a fresh squeezed orange juice (only conlain is they're Soo good you want to finish the entire cup in one drink)
It addition to the food being exceptional quality comfort food, the owner is so sweet and his mother is an angel. This is one of those places where you aren't even remotely annoyed when an employee comes to check on you because you always have something good to report

Oh my gosh I almost forgot to mention- I have never had my kids with me when I come but I need to bring them because they provide so many activities for them!

Grabbed a scone and dirty chai. Both exceptional. Their servers were fast and friendly. I'll absolutely return next time I'm on the area.

This lovely cafe it's a humble cafe/restaurant family oriented delightful atmosphere with live music on Saturday & Sunday for a few hours. The food was delicious and multiple choice of tea and coffee hot or cold, I had the railroad breakfast burrito with bacon eggs and pastrami and my girlfriend had the ham& Swiss cheese in a corrsant so delicious and their Home boy coffee cake is to die for. This cafe is right off the goldline kind of hidden under breath taking trees. Very hospitality service they have a guest restroom đŸš». This cafe made our trip Worth it coming on the goldline train from northridge CA. On a lovely Saturday afternoon. Oh and they have outdoor seating mostly and some inside. It was a perfect place to enjoy a lovely taste ful breakfast with lots of smiles face. I plan to come back with my family from San Diego to celebrate a 10th wedding anniversary. Best Jo.
CORRECTION, the Rail side cafe is right of the Train A line coming from L.A. Union Station heading toward Pomona exit of the San Demas train stop. And the same when coming from the Pomona direction heading to Long Beach metro rail. You can beat the train price for $1.75 Fare one way or a one day pass for $7.00 which include a tap card. Note you need a tap card to ride the Metro Trains

So this is an update to my previous review.. they have added a LOT of things to the menu now. The day I came, it was so packed, it was at least 30 min until we could get our food. Maybe if there more ways to order, it would be faster since now we have to order with the one cashier, who also needs to take in phone calls. I think they do have online option, so I may have to do that next time if I don’t want to wait. I still like the outside seating, as they play really chill music, and now there is even a small play area for kids either a giant connect 4.

The ordered the London Bagel and the Belgium Waffles this time. Note that if you want pretzels you need to add $1. The prices did go up from before but it is expected, and like I said I do like that they have other options. I wished that the bacon that came with the waffles were bigger, they were on the smaller side.

I do like that the owner or the owners mom goes around to ask how the guests are doing. It makes the experience that much more special and the want to continue to support the business. Looking forward to try some of the new food next time. Until then !

Wow! Did not know this place existed! I had previously lived in San Dimas over 20 years and finally get to find hidden gems like this. If you like coffee and breakfast, I believe this is a great place to visit! I love how there is a nice outside seating that feels like you are in a different country in Spain or somewhere in Europe. To add to the experience the music was nice and soothing while me and my wife was eating our breakfast. Upon arrival, there is plenty of parking around, and just to note that they also have boosters if you have kids and they also have Smart Pay if you use that.

Food
We were able to first try these items:
The London Bagel- This was so good! They actually use Boar’s Head Roast Beef, so it isn’t just like your grocery store Hillshire or other brand roast beef. The Bagel was great with the cream cheese and pesto sauce, and I did not know I would actually like their pretzels. Their pretzels is not the regular type, they are seasoned, cant seem to tell where exactly it is from.
The Turkey Caprese Panini - This was really good as well, bread was soft and it was a great mix with the tomatoes, olives inside.
White Mocha Latte - I would caution that this was a good drink, but if you dont like sweet, I would recommend getting this. I would go for the Latte!
Latte- It seems that they use Lavazza coffee here, so this was actually great to hear!

Outside, it was nice that the metal tables with metal chairs has the red umbrella’s with the fresh flowers inside the small vase. The decor inside was just so interesting, I dont have words to really describe it. There was a Christmas tree, there was art, there was plants
you just gotta check it out yourself!

Cant wait to stop by again, relax and try the other things they have on the menu. Will see you again soon Railside! Until then!

We love Rail Side and have been going there for years. The Arecely’s PB Mocha (I like mine blended) is my favorite along with the wake-up #1 on GF bread. Everyone is so friendly (including the owners who are also rooted in the community) and they have live music on the weekend. Great spot that has so much small town charm.

Over all a nice place to go to for lunch and a caffeine kick. Some items are a bit pricey. Outdoor seating mostly and occasionally on weekends there is a live band, Jazz usually.

Here is my breakdown
Prime location
Small facility only 3 tables inside the restaurant but 15-16 patio seating tables
Cafe-style self-service order at the counter and they bring it out for you
The price was reasonable they served breakfast and branched all day
My food came out cold I think they pre-made
It's good but not great
Live music, chill vibes,

Pleasant little cafĂ©. Mist of the seating is outside. My wife and I always passed the cafĂ©. We decided to stop for breakfast. Wife ordered the ham and cheese Croissant along with an orange scone. She said everything was great. I ordered thier All aboard breakfast burrito. Which I accidentally ordered. I really wanted the conductor. It was actually pretty good. Never had pastrami for breakfast before. My only knock on it was that when I was almost finished. It really got oily? The Lavazza latte coffee's were really good 👍😋. The musician/singer was a nice touch. đŸŽžđŸŽ¶
