Sweet and Savory is my favorite cafe in the area. I come here at least once a week for lunch. I usually order the Mediterranean salad with chicken. It’s loaded with veggies and I love that they don’t skimp on the chicken! The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Excellent food and service!

Great food, nice patio seating (and semi-outdoor courtyard seating), and friendly service. Perfect casual spot for brunch.

As we've visited over the years, I can honestly we have nothing but nice things to say about the service from this family-owned cafe. Truly a gem within San Dimas.

I recommend our usual (for two): Savory Breakfast Burrito paired with a pastry.

Parking: Street parking available and parking lot in the back

Yesterday, I discovered a hidden treasure in San Dimas - Sweet Savory Cafe. This cafe is known for its delicious cookies that sell out quickly. They offer a variety of international flavors, including Cuban sandwiches, salads, soups, freshly made bread, empanadas, and other bakery items. Some items are not listed on the menu, so you can ask for the Chef's Daily Special. I always look for clean and relaxing cafes where my family can eat, or I can simply sit and enjoy a book. My experience at Sweet Savory Cafe surpassed my experiences at other cafes in Pasadena, Claremont, and Upland. I arrived early and enjoyed warm cookies and bread, which were absolutely delicious. I ordered various items including coffee, soup, breakfast, and bakery items. Despite not being a coffee drinker, I found the coffee to be delicious and memorable. I also tried their Healthy Breakfast Burrito with added bacon, which was customizable and very filling. The Lentil soup had an amazing aroma and taste. I can't believe I didn't know about this cafe before, especially since I work in the city! For those new to the cafe, you can order through Uber Eats, Grubhub, Postmates, and DoorDash. Visit their website at SweetSavoryCafe.com or call them at 909-305-9738. Their menu includes breakfast burritos, breakfast sandwiches, avocado toasts, old fashioned oatmeal, and build-your-own scramblers. For lunch and dinner, they offer sandwiches, Paninis, burritos, Cuban sandwiches, veggie sandwiches, wraps, salads, combos, kids' menu, bagels, and more. They even have Keto-friendly San Dimas Barbershop Tacos! There is parking available in the front and back, and plenty of seating inside and outside. If you have a large party, they can accommodate you by pushing tables together. The atmosphere is peaceful, making it a wonderful place to read a book or enjoy a meal with family. They also offer freshly made orange juice, and all their sandwiches are made with their own bread. I tried a new flavor of Sweet & Savory bread and found it to be very delicious. I added cream cheese to it yesterday and tried it with butter today. This is definitely my new go-to place for food. I appreciate the cleanliness of the cafe and the fact that it's open early on for breakfast including Saturday and Sunday. I was even able to order all these items on a Saturday at 7AM. Thank you to the owner, Haydee, and her family for providing such a great first experience. I'm now a loyal customer!

I'm not sure which is better the food or the service, both are excellent.

I would have given them a 6 star, but I had to resort to a 5 because:
1. They serve Pepsi instead of Coca Cola
2. They use a white instead of a black straw for my ice latte
3. The 3rd time here, and their bakery are delciious!!!

My partner and I accidentally showed up after hours when they were closing and the owner was so sweet and offered us the food she had left and aguas frescas. The empanadas were amazing and the customer service was even better, I will be coming back during business hours to try the rest of the food for sure :)

It seems the secret’s out about my favorite cafe in this valley! Not only can you get the most amazing empanadas (baked, not fried), bountiful sandwiches (with the freshest ingredients), raw juices (from fruits), coffees & chai lattes (the best), pastries & desserts that are addicting (bread pudding, carrot cakes, croissants, etc), BUT you also get Haydie, Marco and Ethan who take the time to chat, sometimes with free pastries to try, as if you’re really guests! Who does that? No one with profit as their goal.

It truly is a perfect little cafe that shines brightly as a family-run business still welcoming people, many times with smiles, other times with hugs or free pastries, but always with the best foods made their own unique and special way! My grandma used to say her secret ingredient is love and I think I also see that here.

As with every family, there are good days and not-so-good days so please give them grace if they’re not always perfect. I now have to be patient if the lines get even longer because of this post.☺️
