We kept commenting how nicely the place is decorated, good vibes! The food was really good, even the kids meal cheeseburger was big and done right! We had a variety of appetizers, entrees and drinks and can’t say anything negative about it. We will definitely be back.

Enjoyed the experience. Fyi. If you sit at the bar, you may not hear the live music. The pork belly rice was good because it had good acidity from the kimchi and plenty of veggies. it was a generous portion -- although I think it needed a little bit more pork belly. The blood n bourbon drink was delicious. Will have to return for happy hour and other meals. Thanks to Bryan and company for making our first visit a delight.

Went to have dinner. Referred by the the Apple farms inn, the place wasn’t busy, it was a Wednesday evening about 7:00, got seated right away, waited 20 minutes and waiter never came to take an order! No drinks, no food, we left!

Food came out so COLD. We literally got sick from it. Everything came out under room temp cold. That is so dangerous and disgusting. We even sent back a few things and they came back colder than before. Flavors were there but why was nothing cooked properly? Soup and short rib grilled cheese cold and no cheese pull. Starters all cold. Steak and fries cold. Funny thing is my side salad and dressing felt warm which should have been the only cold thing served. LOL what a joke.. Service was good but something’s wrong in the kitchen. They need help bad. Will never go back. I hate giving bad reviews but in this economy and those prices the food should not only be tasty but hot and safe for consumption. I almost requested a charge back from my credit card but like I said the servers were amazing and it wasn’t their fault the kitchen is so awful. I’ll just never return and I’ll tell anyone who will listen to never go there unless you want to be sick all night. What a shame the place is beautiful and fun could be an awesome place for locals to enjoy.! I’ll never forget this place because it totally ruined my birthday night being food poisoned w my family!

Fabulous food and great service. My wife and I had dinner here on a Tuesday night. We had the Monterey spicy chicken sandwich, garlic broccolini, and strawberry goat cheese salad. The chicken sandwich was very juicy and delicious although not spicy at all.

We had a wonderful dining experience at 1865 Craft House & Kitchen in San Luis Obispo. Bailey gave us outstanding service—friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. The strawberry and goat cheese salad was fresh and beautifully balanced. The 1865 Classic Wagyu Burger was perfectly cooked and packed with flavor, and the grilled asparagus was a great side—simple and delicious. Definitely a spot we’ll return to!

Great food and unique menu options. Off the beaten path of downtown so a bit more quiet which is nice. Great drinks.

1865 Kraft House & Kitchen offers a dining experience that seamlessly blends comfort and sophistication. During our visit for lunch, we were delighted to find a dog-friendly, alfresco dining area, which made the experience all the more enjoyable for us and our furry companion.
We indulged in three standout dishes: Salt and Pepper Calamari, Korean Fried Chicken Wings, and the 1865 Classic Burger.
The Salt and Pepper Calamari was a revelation. Perfectly cooked, the calamari was tender with a delightful crispness. The seasoning struck a harmonious balance, enhancing the natural flavors without overpowering them. Each bite was a testament to the chef's skill.
Next came the KFC Wings, which were nothing short of spectacular. Coated in a flavorful glaze, the wings delivered a satisfying crunch followed by a burst of sweet and spicy notes. They were a crowd-pleaser, leaving us craving more.
Finally, the 1865 Classic Burger stole the show. Juicy and cooked to perfection, the patty was complemented by the tangy pickled onions and a medley of fresh toppings. The bun was soft yet sturdy, holding everything together beautifully. It was a classic done right, and a must-try for burger enthusiasts.
The alfresco dining setup added a charming touch, allowing us to enjoy the fresh air and relaxed vibe of the restaurant. The staff were attentive and accommodating, ensuring both we and our dog felt welcome.
Overall, 1865 Kraft House & Kitchen is a gem in SLO, offering dishes that are both comforting and innovative. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this spot deserves a place on your culinary itinerary.

Take out order was wrong. $60 Dollar meal with a good tip and still got it wrong. And you can’t call because no one answers.
