This is my first time there. Many unique and will prepare dishes. Some of the standards and then some that are so unique. You won't believe it.

This spot is the best sushi place in town, in my opinion. We come here every time we're in the area. They have the best prices, awesome sushi, and some of the friendliest staff around.I recommend this place to everyone and anyone who is going to SLO.

Had the worst dining experience in years here the past weekend. The waitress never came back after delivering the drinks. Tracked down another waiter to finally order after 20 minutes of waiting. After 40 more minutes our 3 rolls were still not ready. We finally left after waiting over 1 hr for our food. The Worst service I've had in forever!!! Stay away.

0 star service. Server brought us the wrong roll, one with cream cheese, and 2 of my friends are lactose intolerant. As we began to eat it, we had suspicion that it was the wrong roll because we didn't order something with cream cheese, so we asked the two servers about it. When we did, they both smiled and looked at each other like it was a joke, and then told us that it was indeed the wrong roll. They both knew since the beginning that we got the wrong roll, and played it off hoping that we wouldn't notice their mistake. They really didn't understood the seriousness of the situation, as my friends could have had bad reactions to eating the roll if we didn't notice so soon. Additionally, the food today seemed to not be fresh, and definitely didn't taste as good as the previous times I've been here. Sad to see a once good restaurant going downhill.

The place was empty but every table was absolutely filthy and no one was working to clean them. It was super bizarre. Food was good.

The food was really good, this is my second try dining in. No reservation needed, but I get there as soon as they open because it gets crowded specially on weekends. I have been trying sushi places and this is the one I love the most. The nigiri toro is amazing as well as the seared salmon nigiri and squid nigiri. I have will attach some of the picture I was able to take since it was so good I immediately grab my food cause I couldn’t waste great food for a picture (LOL).The miso soup is great for appetizer, I sat at the bar where is was the most service I could get (the restaurant is low on servers, they are looking to hire) I was patient and understating I waited patiently, the chef even gave us a complimentary meal. Which is why the 4 star. The environment in the restaurant needs work; in cleaning overall and organization in their storage spaces. And the bathroom could be better. I recommend to try their sushi because despite everything it is worth it and the price is really good. I hope you enjoy your dinner and try their nigiri dishes.Update:I keep visiting this restaurant and it is my to go sushi place whenever I’m in SLO. I love it!! I added more pictures of my latest visit. My favorite nigiri are otoro and salmon.Kid-friendliness: It is a great place to dine in with family and kids.

Arigato is a cheap sushi place while not compromising quality. Their happy hour yellow menu has prices that are usually ~$10. I love the options they have and we ordered 5 rolled which fed about 2 people. Super friendly staff and I was able to get dinner here on a Sunday night. Super satisfying!

The food was fine, but the service was terrible. The girl serving us was outright mean. We were also ignored for a long time and the host never brought us menus.

Very nice. Things I could eat on a restricted diet.

Incredibly unassuming being located in a strip mall. But, aren't some of the best places unassuming and tucked away? It was a Saturday night in August in this college town and my boyfriend found Arigato on Yelp so we decided to check it out! Parking is easy because -- strip mall. There were a few patrons in for dinner and they have a cool, sushi bar to watch the chefs create their masterpieces. We opted to sit at a two-seater table by the sushi bar so we could watch at a distance. We had a young waiter who was so sweet but may have been new and was a bit clumsy with the forgetfulness (but he gets a pass, it's hard when you're new and we weren't in a rush)! We Definitely got far too much food but it was all delicious from the veggie tempura to our own helpings of the Philly roll to an avocado roll. Yum! I had a Diet Coke, he had Sprite. If we were local, we'd be regulars! Cute decor, fair prices, no frills, all good. Thank you so much and keep up the good work!

Maybe it changed hands again?Went last Friday and the service was terrible, the sushi was sad- just a giant pile of rice. The sushi chefs didn't care what was going on. Bummer Pacific Secret Roll
