Went for the Grappa/Brandy tasting. Very flavorful! We enjoyed the science story behind each of the samples and the view of the vineyard beyond the tasting room. Tasting room has a resident cat, dog owners beware!
external wines. winemaker is amazing
Tried this 2021 Sauvignon Blanc today. It was amazing! Soooo smooth with some fruit and a slightly sweet finish. Yum yummy!
Steve and Paul are knowledgeable, fun and VERY friendly ! The wine is excellent. Would 100% recommend a visit here.
Fabulous little family owned winery.
I have to admit that I actually didn't try the wines, as I'm not much of a "day drinker", even if it is just a sampling. However, I'm giving a five-star review entirely based on our experience with Mr. Autry.Although we told him from the outset that we just stopped by on a whim as we were in the area and weren't going to do a tasting he was still incredibly welcoming, entertaining and generally great company. His knowledge and experience far exceeds the boundaries of wine making.Although a small winery and very slightly off the beaten path I highly recommend that you stop by for a visit. It will be worth your time.
The staff in the tasting room on 8/19/22 was not welcoming. We ended up leaving before even tasting the wine. She ruined our experience.
Steve is a nice guy and has some great wine!
Really enjoyed the low key tasting. Autry was a random find, and well worth the visit. We enjoyed some tasty red and white wines and ended up joining the wine club and taking some home. Looking forward to getting our wine club bottles in the future. We always enjoy supporting local, creative businesses.
Best wine in the county.

Absolutely the finest quality wine in the entire area, consistently better than any other vineyard I have even been to.
Excellent wine, terrific brandy and the most knowledgeable and nicest owner you're ever going to meet.
Steve’s wines are our favorites from the valley. Low volumes and nonexistent distribution of his wines make this a must stop if you’re in the area. We couldn’t drive away without joining his wine club after his tasting experience! His brandys are fantastic as well. Couldn’t recommend Autry Cellars more.
My wife and I came here as a last minute decision to stay in SLO before going home to Paso. We read some great reviews and that helped our decision to come and enjoy some wine. We purchased a bottle of 2013 Malbec (which was very easy sipping) and we also enjoyed a tasting of brandy along with some great stories of Steve's past. Take some time out of your day if you're in the area and enjoy some nice wines.
All very nice wines. Hillary's a terrific host. She's very passionate about their wines. You'll enjoy them as much as hearing her presentation. We also met Steve who was very informative as well. We had a very nice time learning and tasting.
