Super chintzy with the cheese & toppings at this location- not a good value. Its embarrassing to have to beg for a decent amount of cheese on a build your own pizza- and DANG the shift leader (Santiago) at this location really dug in his heels than an entire pizza should have no more than 1/2 c mozzarella, or 2 artichokes. (???!). This location is not a good spot to try out Blaze. We brought 3 families with us who had never been before, and they were wondering what we were so excited to bring them for- (chintzy toppings and blackened crust...?). Santiago single handed it burned 4 families worth of customers in one moment- can't imagine how many other customers he's turned off. Usually, the best part of Blaze build your own is that you get to decide what goes on your pizza. It was downright embarrassing to ask for more than 2 artichokes and to be lectured by the staff. I won't bother going back to this location. If you want to try Blaze, try a different location!

Over the years since my first visit to this Blaze, I learned how to actually order a great Pizza when a Blaze is not Blazingly busy.If not too busy, then one can carefully select the toppings and really do to town with what one wants. The secret to not burning the Pizza is to ask them nicely to put the metal grill underneath the Pizza, which is normally only used for the special dough Pizza's. Again, if they are not too busy, and are skilled, it will not come out burnt. While it is not a NYC style Pizza, since it is so thin, it still can be a very tasty meal.I am sort of a fan and even have their app on my phone....but I prefer the quieter AG location.I am going to include my old review below, just to show how much my experience has changed. Thanks Blaze Pizza![ Old outdated review: "Blazingly boring.Wife "hate" factor is way way off the charts!!!BEWARE!!! If married, go alone...ha...ha...Lots of toppings, but the crust is waytoo thin & is burnt. Popular withCal-Poly kids. Not for serious Pizzalovers. Mass produced by teens.Toppings but not "Pizza".NOT FOR FORMER NYers!!!Sorry!"]

Oh my goodness, I've been to Blaze Pizza many times, but I've never been to the one on foothill in San Luis Obispo! We were helped by Cindy, so fabulous! Fabulous customer service and Oh my gosh the best pizza I've ever ever had from any blaze made by Cindy!

I've been to the Blaze in Arroyo Grande countless times and they've always handled gluten free crust beautifully. Here though? No. Typically they wash their hands and get a new set of gloves. The employee was running around like he'd had 15 redbulls. He made 6 gluten pizzas prior to mine. Grabbing flour and gluten crust. He grabs mine without changing his gloves or taking any precautions to minimize cross contamination. The guy at the oven was going to use the gluten pizza cutter, rather than the gluten free one. Until I had to ask him to grab the gluten free one. I'm not sure if it was a lack of training or a lack of care. But either way, not okay.

Tried to order 45 mins before closing time and they said they weren’t taking any more orders. Showed up at 9:15 when closing time was 10. How’s that make sense?

We needed to a lunch break and a rest stop. SLO seemed like a good place to stretch out legs. My road trip companion suggested this so we pre-ordered our pizza on the road. We each got a personal pizza which we both finished quite easily. This is located in an outdoor mall. It has nice seating outside including a fire pit. The pizza was delish. I’m from the East Coast and like my New Haven style apizza. Thin crust and crust that is well cooked. Going to try the other location closer to me!

There was a fundraiser with a ton of people and online orders coming in and only had 3 employees working at the time. Ethan, Josh, and Bryce handled the crowd very well and got pizzas out quickly! The food was great and it was awesome to see so many people supporting the fundraiser with good service. Thanks!

I tried Blaze Pizza for the first time tonight. The staff was so delightful. Every single member on the staff took turns helping me and were all super nice. Ethan, Corey, Sophia, Audrey are the employees to watch out for at the Blaze Pizza in San Luis Obispo!
