Such a delicious bakery! Their coffee was great. The cappuccino was perfect and the croissant is the best in town!
Unreal that I've lived in SLO County and only just discovered this place. Sweet and Savory scones are the BEST. Everything hits here. You can't go wrong with anything. Promise.
this bread is expensive, I think two loafs of bread and a pretzel was like 35 dollars, and I can honestly tell you it was really worth it. once you buy from here it’s really difficult buying mediocre bread, you will always wish you went here.
Bread from Bread Bike is the only bread I buy now. I don't eat a lot of bread any more, so when I do it had better be so good it's irresistible. With their freshly milled, small-farmer-grown heritage flour, their slow fermentation, and the personal care to both the process and their customers, this is the best bread anywhere. Really. You have to have some to know that bread can be this good. I've seen that they also have pastries and pizza — I haven't tried them so you'll have to write your own review on those
WOW ... what a find! I found Bread and Bike at a local Farmer's Market ... now I'm hooked. You can taste the love and quality of ingredients in each and every sweet and/or savory bite. Their use of fresh whole milled flour makes all the difference and allows Bread and Bike to surpass any and all competition. My family and I had the pleasure of enjoying their lemon poppyseed scone, brownie, and cinnamon roll. I'm looking forward to visiting their store front and more markets so I can slowly but surely try everything they have to offer. Highly recommend Bread and Bike, you will not be disappointed 💙
This place is so cute and have incredible options. I was standing in a way too long line at the place next door and left because the vibe was off. Didn't have to wait at all at the Bread Bike Bakery, staff were kind and personable. I bought a day old cookie at 20% off and they also do hot and cold drinks.
Grassroots local business, environmentally aware, quality ingredients, rotating seasonal specials…more of this, please, SLO!
such nice people‘s working there, great coffee, great food
This place rules !!!
Wowowow. Let me just say, as someone who used to be a professional baker for a beloved bakery in SF, this is some seriously high quality, delectable stuff here!
Every single thing I have tried I have loved so much that I could not shut up about how much I loved it while oohing and ahhhing, savoring each bite to the max.
The sourdough - not sure what percent hydration it is but definitely close to high hydration (if not technically high) and therefore has an airy, delicate and sticky crumb that is yum yum yum.
Salted pretzel. Flavor bomb. Texturally supreme. The chew, it is there and it is excellent.
Tahini bar - I'm not vegan and I just loved this thing. Excellent in every way and not super duper sweet, which I like.
The mushroom shallot savory scone.... what?!?!?! So much better than anticipated. I am obsessed. They did not skimp on the add ins and they were caramelized to perfection.
I don't live in the area and I am committed to eating every single thing on the menu and giving them a bunch of my money every chance I get in exchange for their culinary bliss.
Thank you, bakers! Y'all rock! Tipping my hat in appreciation, one baker to another.

A friend told me about BreadBike a few years ago. She said the bread was phenomenal. I thought "It's bread, how good can it be?" But when I tried it, it blew my mind. It is easily the best bread I have ever had. My go to is the seeded loaf and any baguette they have that day. Give them a try. You will not be disappointed.

My mom and I are addicted to Bread Bike's seeded rye bread. The shop is clean and bright, with lots of plants. Very inviting. I've seen them with booths at Farmer's markets, Saturday morning in Templeton and Thursday eve downtown SLO.

I would give a 0 if they had one. We went on a Tuesday and they said everything was sold out by 9:30. We thought yes we hit the jackpot for bakeries but disappointed that they had nothing to offer. We pre-ordered for the next day to pick up at or by 11:30. We get there and the young
Smug lady pops two pastries down. She said sorry we ran out. First of all she gave us some dry croissants that we didn't order half of what we did order and asked did we want our money back for the ones we didn't get. Of coarse we do. I was pissed but all at the same time very disappointed. Very expensive for the dry pastry. Not worth $7.00..each Absolutely not. If you are going to run a business put your heart into it. We were here with a large group . Sorry guys we went to Morro Bay and got fantastic pastries. Sun n buns bakery. Thank you but no thank you.

Excellent food, exceptional staff. I recommend everyone who is in town to stop by for breakfast and bread. Wheat ground directly by them.
