Absolutely LOVE coming to Chamisal. Their wine is the best in Slo in my opinion, and they're all organic and sustainability focused which is so cool! Love how their staff welcome you and share the most interesting tid-bits about the wine and vineyard as you taste, they teach you about which grapes are grown where, how they collect rainwater on site and how their soil affects the flavor of the grapes. With each tasting you learn about how the wine is aged and in which barrels- but most importantly, the wine is flavorful and elegant and their tasting room has such a beautiful view and sophisticated ambiance. Julie, Mia, Tim, Jacob, and everyone I've encountered at their slo venue has been so kind and welcoming. I highly recommend stopping by for a tasting flight, you won't regret it!
This was easily one of our favorite wine experiences we've had in a long time. Tim, our host, was so friendly and knowledgeable. While the overall tasting area isn't super large, they've done a great job spacing out groups and the overall flow is efficient. There's not much pomp and circumstance here, which makes for a really fun and casual tasting environment. We felt welcome from the moment we arrived and this was a highlight of our visit to SLO County.
Amazing experience at Chamisal this weekend. Popped in for a wine tasting - got the classic flight as well as the rosé. Excellent Pinot noirs, and they have an amazing Chardonnay (Califa) that had notes of lemon curd. We had visited three wineries that day, and Chamisal was my favourite.
We came back the following day to pick up a few bottles, and Jacob was so amazing, taking the time to explain each wine, and how they’re all organic (certified labels coming in 2026!). Jacob is incredibly knowledgeable and it’s so apparently how passionate he is about their wines.
They also have signature candles made from repurposed wine bottles, all made locally. Don’t miss out on smelling these!
Chamisal is definitely a hidden gem I don’t want to gate keep. So please do add this winery on your next visit to Edna Valley!
Stopped by Saturday as we were in town for a graduation.
Tim greeted us at the door and took care of us during our visit. I can not express enough how amazing Tim was.
Funny and very informative about the wine. His recommendations of wine were spot on! The wine has great. I do not live in the area but I can not wait to come back
Enjoyed the wine tasting. Great service.
Tim was great, made us feel like we were long time friends. Great wines, and super relaxing environment. 100% coming back.
We had a great experience of wine tasting. The service was amazing , the view beautiful , the wine was exquisite. The lady who attended us was very nice, took us a picture and gave us a card for” wedding treat” . Everything was perfect . We definitely want to come back
Stopped at Chamisal on my birthday, whom my daughter recommended. We were headed further south on our way to Joshua Tree. Chamisal staff gave us a warm reception and everything recommended was lovely. Even caught a beautiful sunset while sipping and eating nibblies on the patio. Staff volunteered to be our photographer and capture the moment. Can’t say enuf good things. Well done.
Great ambiance and space with very friendly staff. Went for a bachelorette party day event
My friend Cathy and I are both wine industry and we had such a blast wine tasting at Chamisal. Our server was Tim and he went above and beyond our expectations! I loved his natural sense of what to talk about and I left with something I didn't know about wine before. The wines were great! They have food options so you don't have a taste on an empty stomach. Cathy and I were there for 3 hours and every minute was enjoyed.

Been a while since I last visited here. Surprised by the changes, especially the cost of the rose' s. Still love the Califa chardonnay's got a couple. They also have nice candles.
we live our server Macie
Best tasting experience ever!! Their Pinot Noirs are amazing! Jacob, the tasting room manager, is super friendly and knowledgeable. Great view. Overall amazing experience.
Our friends took us here at the last minute and they know all of the wineries very well and they were a little bit shocked at the $40 per wine tasting price. The wines were OK and the server really did not seem to know or care much about the wines beyond some stock phrases. Noticed that the tar odor from the old phone poles was getting pretty intense at end of day.
Ridiculous overpriced charges for wine tasting with not so comfortable seats and average wines. The location is simple and average experience with waitress that just mentioned the basics and did not go beyond explaining .
