I've been going to McClintocks in Pismo literally my entire life with my family and I just found out that they shut down permanently. I'm so heartbroken because I absolutely adored McClintocks. I went there for birthdays and anniversaries. I can't believe they just shut down like that. EVERYTHING about this restaurant was impeccable, the food, the service, the atmosphere. It meant everything to me. Andersons Pea Soup was also shut down. These are restaurants my family and I have been going to for decades.

Bouncers took my ID and refused to give it back. When I brought a police officer to get it for me, the bouncer had scurried to the back and it took like 5 minutes to fish him out and finally return my property. They were obviously very rude.

I’ve gone my whole life without writing a single bad review. But this experience warranted one.

This is a nice little basically burger place. I did get a pasta dish that was very delicious. Our waiter had a great sense of humor.

It was Thursday, Farmers' Market knight so ev everything was hectic. Food was good though. Bar tender was severely stretched to take care of everyone. SLO.

Down here visiting. Used to go here in the 70s awesome place then , very vibrant. Lost its magic.

Definitely not fine dining lol I thought it was a fancy steak house but indeed it is not. Very country yee haw ppl yelling and having a good time ? service took a while but we did have a big party. Chairs were very uncomfortable. Steak was good but nothing to special, next time we come

We ate at their booth during the Farmer's Market and were not disappointed! The ribeye sandwich was amazing! Even though the waiting line was huge, we got to the food in just a couple of minute's time.

They literally do not let you in unless you pay. Been waiting an hour in line and they’re only letting people in who bribe them. Rediculous.

GOOD SPOT ! My wife and I were up in Cambria for a one week vacation to celebrate her birthday. On Thursday evening we met up with close family at the Downtown SLO Farmer's Market. F. Mclintocks BBQ looked good so we jumped in the line. SERVICE WAS FAST ! We had our food in our hands fast but then we needed somewhere to sit down and enjoy it. YEAH BABY ! We headed inside F. McLintocks Saloon & Grill virtually next door and planted ourselves at a vacant table. I nearly laughed my head off watching my wife trying to eat her humongous Pulled Pork Sandwich. My succulent Tri-Tip Sandwich and fresh made Lemonade hit the spot perfectly. And my wife loved her delicious Corn On The Cob ( her fav ). Pretty soon after we came in here our kids arrived and grabbed a table nearby to enjoy their Tacos. It was good to get out of the busy street market for a few minutes !

Steak was good, ribs were a huge portion but unfortunately a bit too tough. They should have been cooked a little longer. Unfortunately there was no heating and it was really cold there.

This place went downhill. I went in a Friday afternoon and we walked out. The place had a funny (old dirty smell). There was only one other large party that was loud sitting in there middle of the restaurant. Outdoor seating was not available. Meme was a shell of what it used to be, mainly burgers. The waiter said they had just opened after begging closed for a few months due to a gas leak. If I ever go back it'll be years from now to see if they have returned to being a quality establishment. What I saw and smelled was bad. We had to leave. I do not recommend.

What a waste of time. Servers did their thing, but the owner is absolutely terrible. So many better spots, owner needs to get a clue or just get out of the business all together.
