I absolutely LOVE field day! I’ve been a customer for years now and I love bringing my golden retriever too. Every single barista is so kind and loves to make conversation. Trust me it’s the best matcha latte in all of San Luis Obispo!! I have been guilty of going twice a day lol. Get there early enough and snag an avocado toast but if not I love the homemade bagels! Truly will recommend this experience to anyone!

They do make their own syrups, but my latte was a cup of milk. Barely drank half of it.
Girl taking my order was extremely rude and cold after I asked a few questions. In other reviews, her attitude and lack of kindness has been described as well. Seems to be a reoccurring issue.
Not thrilled and disappointed I spent $ here.

As a flight attendant, I love to explore coffee spots all over the world, and I absolutely love the San Luis Obispo layover. This was my first visit, and I’ll definitely be coming back—it’s already a favorite. The California charm and vibe are unbeatable, and I really appreciate the overall aesthetic. There's something special about sipping coffee from a real mug and taking the time to sit and enjoy it. My cappuccino was fantastic—perfectly crafted.

Wonderful coffee shop that I wish existed when I was in school. More than enough seating, large communal tables perfect for studying / working on laptops. Needs more outlets but I understand if they want to preserve it as social atmosphere rather than coworking space.
Love that their outdoor seating has an overhang so you can choose not to burn under the sun.
I ordered the matcha latte (as I don’t enjoy coffee) and was disappointed to see they make a matcha concentrate (I’m guessing?) by dumping matcha powder and water into a squeeze bottle and shaking it up. The drink tastes powdery and like cheap matcha.
Their pastries and other drinks as great (have had their iced teas and my friend got a coffee) but hopefully they step up their matcha game to round everything out!!

Absolutely wonderful spot, with lovely feel-good vibes, to start your day in San Luis. Coffee is all fantastic (especially the drip, gibraltar, and macchiato); the yogurt + granola bowl is refreshing and topped with a generous dose of strawberries + blueberries; the housemade bagel sandwich is perfectly executed in every way; and the avo toast (served with oversized wedges of delightfully fresh + chewy sourdough) is a toast lover’s dream.
Highly recommend for your morning routine in town! ☕️
