Do yourself a favor and order the grilled chicken sandwich. I rarely get to experience such a well prepared chicken option. It was juicy and flavorful to the point where I forgot to put back on some mayo into the sandwich (I was sharing it with my friend who asked for mayo on the side). The tri-tip sandwich wasn't my favorite, the extra sauce on the side is a must.
Great food, low price for the quality of food, great service and atmosphere.
Great food, we always love coming to this brand of restaurants, whether in Fresno, Bakersfield or SLO. However super disappointing that they won't grill the jalapenos in SLO like they do at the other restaurants. They wouldn't even do it when asked.
The tri tip was awful. The meat was not fresh at all. Did not taste good.
Very busy, awesome place to eat. Loved the cob salad with tri tip. June 2025
Love the monster burger and fries . Tri tip sandwish is also very taste

Long as you order something common, you'll get your order really fast. Gets very packed, but there always seems to be space to sit.
Can get a burger relatively cheap, tri-tip is on the expensive side but definitely worth it. The food is amazing & large portions

A must stop if you are anywhere near SLO!!
It never fails. Every single time we come down to the Central Valley, our friends come here for a meal. It really is that GOOD!!
I'm not gonna be saying anything original that others have not said about this place. Everybody loves it. Period.
Tri-tip sandwich is the best I've ever tasted!
Basket of Fries can be shared among 3-4 peeps.
Roast Chicken is juicy and tender, (trust me if you like chicken)
And the RIBs are a winner, with and without sauce
Most of the meals come with a side salad with croutons and lots of garlic bread
Now, with that said, the down side of such a popular place is that lines will be long, BUT they actually do a fairly good job moving it along and calling out numbers over the speakers is efficient and super helpful for those waiting outside.
Tip: if you are more than 1 person in your party, here is the action plan: one lines up for orders and the others scout out a table, inside or outside. Divide and conquer!! Also, be nice and courteous as you wait for people to finish eating...it's respectful.
We came here with a group of 15 and we were all able to find tables and chairs outside in the patio area, once the food was ready.
Happy feasting!!

I’ve lived here my entire life, and absolutely love firestone, but the guys working behind the counter (for food pickup) the last few times have been anything but pleasant. When you order an entire basket of fries and a tri-tip sandwich, you should be able to get three sides of ranch w/o it being an issue, but they always make an obviously annoyed face (or say something like “I mean, I can give you two…” and then Immediately give me less than I asked for. As though I didn’t just pay $25 for a meal to go. Hopefully somebody in management sees this and talks to their employees, because I’ve left the last few times feeling incredibly annoyed, and this was always one of my favorite places growing up/Somewhere we like to take people who are visiting from out of town. Not a good look.

Excellent place to eat and enjoy
The same thing happened to me. :(
I asked to pay for an extra sauce and they replied it’s free however I could only have one. If I wanted one more I could eat and come back up. The worst customer service and I will not be returning. Treat your customers better especially if you are the owner.
I always ask for two sides of BBQ and ranch I know I like a lot of sauce however today one of the workers (I think is the owner) made a comment about the amount of sauce I asked for in a very passive aggressive tone. Please start charging for extra sauce if it’s that big of an issue/inconvenience, I would’ve been more than happy to pay as I know I like a lot of sauce… the comment and passive aggressive attitude was uncalled for and will no longer be returning.
