Gus's by the Number Classics
The Number 1
Chicken strips and BBQ sauce are served on a soft French roll with Jack cheese, steamed hot and topped off with lettuce, tomato, red onion and ranch dressing.
The Amber
Roast beef, ortega chili and pepper jack cheese are heated on a soft French roll, and served with mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato, salt and pepper.
The Turkey Veggie
Turkey, herb cream cheese and avocado are served on a wheat roll with mayo, mustard, lettuce, sprouts, tomato, red onion, cucumber, Italian dressing, salt and pepper.
Italiano
Ham, dry salami and mortadella with provolone cheese on a sourdough roll with garlic mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato, red onion, salt and pepper, oil and vinegar.
BLT and A
Bacon, green leaf lettuce, tomato and sliced avocado are served on sliced sourdough with red onion and mayo.
Meat Lovers
Our thinly sliced bbq'd tri-tip is stuffed into a sourdough roll and steamed hot with pepper jack cheese. It's great with BBQ sauce or salsa, your choice. Add BBQ sauce, add salsa.
The Gobbler
Turkey, Jack cheese and cranberry sauce is served on sliced sourdough with green leaf lettuce and mayo.

I'm born and raised in SLO. Gus's is in the top 2 best sandwich shops for me. A true deli with phenomenal specialty sandwiches and options to build your own. I've been coming here since I was a kid when it was a convenient store. They also have a great beer and chip selection.

Great sandwiches, chips and drinks. Just wish there were some outdoor tables but otherwise excellent place to grab some lunch!

A small well put together sandwich shop. The service is a-bit too casual for a business and I have been twice interrupted by an employee yelling across the room. Not a deal breaker but worth mentioning.
Sandwiches are great, and they will help customize it to your liking quite nicely.
Sitting down outside gives you some good people watching abilities.
All in all a solid choice in the railroad district.
