The owner, Kiko, is incredibly passionate in his description and recommendations. Everything was topnotch! Good sized portions and a fair price for the quality you get.
Splendid!

A true foodie experience! The food was to die for. Fine dining quality for the food and the service at very reasonable prices. The owner is so passionate about the food and told us about all the dishes and the ingredients etc. They asked about any allergies or dietary restrictions so they could accommodate. Wish I lived here so I could eat here every week! Just amazing!

What a memorable meal! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the food is bursting with bold, unique flavors. We ordered the Tacu Tacu, Aji de Gallina Croquettes, and Pasta Huancaína, and every dish was exceptional. The Tacu Tacu was perfectly cooked and so satisfying, while the croquettes were crispy on the outside with a rich, flavorful filling. The Pasta Huancaína was creamy and packed with just the right amount of heat. Kiko’s passion for his craft is evident in every bite, and his enthusiasm for sharing the story behind the dishes made the experience even more special. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Kiko’s has the best food in town! If you want to do it right, you should get appetizers and an entree. My husband and I always share the pork skewers and then get our own meals. All of the flavors here are unique and the food is artful. Kiko himself is so kind and welcoming and you can tell he’s passionate about everything in the restaurant. The entire experience at Kiko’s is such a treat. The food is like nothing you’ll find anywhere else in SLO and the service is top notch - I can’t say enough good things about it!

Phenomenal food. The flavor and textures were perfectly balanced and the presentation on-point. It was a slower night so my friends and I even got 1:1 time with Kiko himself. Beyond the food, service was very attentive and friendly with empty plates whisked away and water glasses always full. It was an all-around lovely evening.

Where do I start? From the moment you walk in the door you are immediately greeted with a smiling face. The service is attentive, but not overwhelming (they give you intimacy with your dinner guests without continually checking on you).

The flavors chosen by the owner for each dish are very unique. Mouth watering, savory dishes - that don’t make you feel uncomfortably full. My personal favorite appetizer was the ceviche SLO and their scallop dish (topped with the secret tiger’s milk sauce). These complimentary blends of flavors are to die for and nothing like anything you’ve had on the central coast.

Their pisco sours are very fresh, each variation unique to the palate and go very well with the seafood dishes specific to the Peruvian culture.

I would absolutely recommend Kiko’s restaurant and pisco bar to anyone who lives in SLO county or is visiting and would love to try a new restaurant with something brand new to offer to the area.

ARE. YOU. KIDDING. ME.

Take our money—take it all! From the moment we discovered Kiko Peruvian Restaurant last night (or maybe it discovered us?), we finally understood why people want to gatekeep something this extraordinary. But honestly, once you meet Kiko and Desiree, you’ll see—some secrets are just too magical to keep locked away. Bursting at the seams soon? Oh, absolutely. Get your reservations now before it’s too late!

This is way more than just Peruvian cuisine; it’s an all-out celebration of culture, passion, and flavors that will ruin you for anything else. I dare you—order something that’s not absolutely jaw-dropping. The ceviche? We’re ruined forever—forever! Nothing else will ever compare (we seriously mean that). The Pisco Sours? Don’t ask, just order. Trust us. The energy? Electric. The vibe? Pure enchantment. The hospitality? Beyond flawless. It’s like being adopted into the most wonderful family, we didn't want to leave (we didn't... we closed it down). And let’s not even get us started on the location—it’s exactly what you imagine when dreaming of SLO, with creekside restaurants springing back to life.

I could go on, and on, but why listen to us rave when you could be stuffing your face with perfection right now? Just go. Experience Kiko’s Peruvian Wonderland, and you’ll find yourself writing your own love letter disguised as a review. Five stars? Please. We need more! #ObsessedAndWeKnowIt #fansforlife

Dietary restrictions: I have a shrimp sensitivity and since everything is made to order, it was easily avoided.

Fantastic restaurant! It's a tour of Peruvian food, we were talked through each drink and dish, where the ingredients were from, the thought that went into the flavors, and how best to pair everything. Not just welcoming, this restaurant is exciting. And the food is DELICIOUS. Like you'll dream of the Leche de Tigre afterwards. Come with an empty stomach and as many questions about food and cooking and eating that you want to throw their way

Dietary restrictions: They had mocktail versions of all the drinks which was very appreciated

The atmosphere was lively and beautiful. All staff members were passionate about the food and culture of Peru. The food was made to order and did not disappoint in any way. The owner was also there and was so kind, even giving us a dessert on him (also one of the best I have had in quite some time. If you want to try something new you won’t be disappointed by this place!!
