Nice sandwich shop with a huge variety (different breads, toppings, sauces etc.). There is something for every taste. The staff was super friendly. Very good vibes!

Yummy! Been going here for years. I recommend if you are looking for a deli sandwich that's a step above Subway.

I’ve been eating at Kona’s since the mid-1990s, and after all these years, one thing hasn’t changed—they make a great sandwich. The tuna is top-tier, the deli meats are always fresh, the bread is delicious, and even the soda fountain hits just right (they must keep that machine extra clean). My only gripe? They close way too early! Some of us like a sandwich for dinner, and unless I remember to grab one before they shut down on the weekend (and stash it in the fridge like a sandwich squirrel), I’m out of luck. If they stayed open later, they’d definitely get even more of my money. Longtime loyal fan—and still going strong.

I've been eating at Kona’s Deli since the 1990s, and it’s still one of my favorite sandwich spots in San Luis Obispo. The quality has always been consistent—fresh ingredients, generous portions, and unbeatable flavor. My go-to orders are the tuna with cheddar and the Pipeline—both are absolutely delicious. The bread is especially great, soft with just the right amount of chew. My only complaint is that I wish they had longer hours during the week—I can only make it in on weekends due to my work schedule. Still, always worth the wait. Kona’s is a true SLO staple.

They're Super Expensive........ I've known this sandwich deli shop since 1989, I remember the original owners. It was good back them but today while admire the new owners to keep it going, the prices are just too high. When you think about it, there's no waiter, you don't have to leave a tip, only two or three employees possibly, the parking is iffy but their overhead it's not like they have huge cost to tack on to the customer to give them the excuse to charge more money. It's sad because the sandwiches don't look that big at all when you spend $15 to $20 for just one sandwich, that's very expensive.

Fun sandwich place with a cool theme. We like the surfer vibe and the bread is delicious! There are so many unique sandwiches to choose from or build your own! Each 6in is cut in half so its easy to make multiple small sandos for kiddos. They also have a 17min DESTROYER CHALLENGE if you are really hungry!!!! They also have weekly daily deals. The staff are knowledgable and super friendly!

Lol. Terrible, expensive sandwiches.

One of the better sandwich shops in town. Konas has been around for a long time and has consistent food that is good, and affordable. I say if you're tired of the fast food, or tired of eating subway, give it a try you will not be disappointed.
