They forgot to place my cousins order so he ate last once we were all done eating and done paying. Other than that the food was really good

The place caught my eye as we were walking around downtown. Ended up dining here in the patio for our wedding anniversary. The cocktails were delicious! We shared a veggie paella and the squash corn fritter.

We took a quick trip down to San Luis Obispo to check out the new location my daughter will be living while going to Cal Poly. Her last apartment wasn’t a good fit.
So we ventured downtown and stopped at Luna Red for dinner. The outside patio is amazing though we got seated inside and toward the back of the restaurant. I always seem to get seated near the back - perhaps I just look like a trouble maker. Anyway, the food was good and the service was excellent though I can’t remember what I ordered at this point. I will say the place is quite elegant and I’m not typically attracted to restaurants like that. I’m not sure I will be back anytime soon but if you are looking for a nice place for dinner in SLO, this is certainly a good option.

The food was so incredibly delicious, the fizzy lifting drink was amazingly refreshing, the ambiance was so fun, and every person we interacted with was beyond friendly and kind. Thank you so much for making my birthday brunch so wonderful!

My spouse and I had our wedding rehearsal dinner here and it could not have been a more perfect location. The food was delicious (the brussel sprouts were genuinely life changing), the drinks were flowing, and the ambiance was fun and relaxing. We had quite a few family members who use wheelchairs and walkers in our group, as well as folks with severe food allergies, and everyone was able to easily enter the venue and have a delicious meal!
I want to give a special shout-out to Alysia, who made this entire process so smooth. We had a shake-up with our guest counts in the eleventh hour, and she was able to update our contract and ensure everyone had a place to sit at the last minute. I can't thank her and the entire team at Luna Red enough for starting our wedding weekend off on such a fantastic note!!

It was a wonderful experience. The food was excellent though I found the mango gazpacho a little too so wet for my tastes. However the waitress brought me milk to cool it down. My husbands salad was enormous. He didn’t need that bowl of soup. The best was the bacon wrapped dates stuffed with chorizo appetizer. I shoujd have just ordered those and a glass of sangria.
Parking: Paid street parking. Have to watch fir no parking at loading zones.

Fantastic food with options for all dietary needs. The corn squash fritter was absolutely amazing. One of the best vegan dishes I've ever had.
Indoor and outdoor seating options, full bar. I will definitely be back

Great drinks, my favorite appetizer (bacon-wrapped dates), and some new entrees we enjoyed (pork belly carbonara, filet mignon with a savory truffle sauce). Can't beat the ambience outside by the creek. Our server was sweet as can be. We had stopped coming to Luna Red after you discontinued burger night some years back, and we were disappointed with limited menu choices. But - you all have improved. So we're back!

Food was incredible. Top highlights during our visit were the chips and salsa (with a delicious nacho cheese dip), De La Luna Paella, and the spicy margarita.
Great atmosphere with beautiful inside and outside dining options. Staff members were very warm, welcoming, and accommodating. I am very impressed by their service. THANK YOU.
We will definitely be coming back any time we are passing through SLO and highly recommend this establishment to anyone and everyone who is willing to listen.

Great small plates to share or eat solo. The outdoor area is perfect with a great atmosphere. Service was really good, and the food was tasty. They have special menus throughout the week, and wine Wednesdays is half of bottled wine from the "wines by the glass" list. Location is convenient - right next to the San Luis Obispo mission in the middle of downtown. Definitely a must when in SLO
