Highly recommended, decided I would check it out while I'm in San Luis Obispo. I ordered the New England clam chowder, and fish and chips.
The clam chowder was exceptional, the creaminess and consistency of the chowder was perfect, the potatoes and bits of clam were cooked so that they added great depth to the chowder.
However, the fish and chips fell short of my expectations, especially on how well the clam chowder was prepared and served.
The fries had an off flavor to them, I couldn't quite figure out why or what it was. And the fish carried a lot of oil with it, so it had a slightly oily flavor that I was not expecting. I've had fish and chips at other places, and have not had this issue. The ambience and the service was spectacular.

Lure is hands down my favorite seafood restaurants. They provide excellent service and well-curated seafood dishes. The food is fresh and fancy, without being over-the-top. Also recently discovered their happy hour menu, which keeps things more affordable, while allowing for a good sampling of dishes. The outdoor patio is great if you want a quieter atmosphere, and also is pet-friendly. 10/10

We came in as a slightly chaotic group of seven with a dinner reservation, and everything went smoothly from the start. Our table was ready right when we arrived, and when a couple of people in our party asked to switch tables, the staff happily accommodated us without hesitation.
We enjoyed drinks, oysters, entrées featuring the catch of the day, and finished with the best cheesecake I’ve ever eaten in my life. Every dish was delicious and masterfully prepared.
Our server, Francesca (I believe that was her name), was wonderful—friendly, attentive, and mostly very knowledgeable about the menu. When she wasn’t sure about something, she didn’t hesitate to double-check, which we especially appreciated since we had members with food allergies.
Overall, the service, food, and atmosphere made this a fantastic experience. I would absolutely come back again and I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

They started having Happy Hour all day Saturday. We liked the grilled and the deep fried fish tacos. Parmasagne potatoes and chowder were both good also. Terrific service, and coffee. We'll be back.

This place was absolutely phenomenal!!! The service I received from Cassie and Jeff was amazing this evening. It’s a beautiful atmosphere but the FOOD was INCREDIBLE!!! We had both chowders, the most delicious shrimp cocktail and calamari and the Pop shrimp were absolute stand outs! The happy hour menu is so extensive and so reasonable, can’t Wait to come back for full dinner!
