Absolutely fantastic, food was great and service was nice. Its been alot of over priced food and crappy service at places lately and it was a breath of fresh air to experience Nates on Marsh. We will definitely be back, I need a breakfast noodle of my own next time!
Fabulous experience!! Our pastas were sooo good! Our server was very sweet and attentive. Can’t wait to come back:)
We cannot recommend this spot enough! The food was delicious (I’ll be coming back for the focaccia muffins and lasagna) and the drinks were unique and tasty, but the part we’ll remember most is the service. From the hostess to table runners to our dedicated server Arturo, we felt taken care of from the moment we called to make the reservation to the moment we left.
The staff went above and beyond, making space for us on a busy Saturday night and accommodating a couple of special requests.
This is now one of our favorite spots (anywhere, ever!) and will be a must stop every time we visit SLO.
Thank you Nate, Arturo and the many other friendly faces we met!
excellent cozy vibe and superb service! all the food we tried was delicous!
Delicious lunch. We did not have a reservation, so despite the open tables, it took about 20 minutes to be seated. Our food took longer than usual to arrive, but when it did, it was fresh, and all the temperatures were spot-on. Looking forward to returning!
Another lovely meal from Nate’s on Marsh! The food is consistently delicious; the service is great; and the ambiance is unique and interesting. We usually get the Pork Chop as it by far one of my favorite places to enjoy this dish. We happened to come in on a Thursday evening and it was their 50% off any bottle of wine under $100. DANGEROUS! We had a lovely evening of delicious fine dining food and a little too much wine.
First course felt rushed. Ordered the rib eye and caccio e peppe they were cold. The meat quality was not good. It was overly sauced in my opinion as well. For those that like their steak to be covered in a sauce at least provide another cut that also smaller in size. The pasta was sitting in its sauce when caccio e peppe shouldn’t have so much sauce to begin with. Was flavor less and had to add pepper to what should have been an already peppery pasta. The staff from hosts to servers were wonderful otherwise.
We had reservations and were seated outside on a 58 degree evening. Even with heaters it was too chilly, and the food was cold by the time we were halfway into our plates. Chicken was dry. Service was lackluster. We felt like the forgotten table. I don’t think we will be back because it wasn’t really great value. Might have been different if we had been seated inside.

Nate’s on Marsh has consistently provided my family and me with an exceptional dining experience. The incredible food, attentive service, and warm atmosphere make us feel truly welcome every time we visit.
After a disheartening experience at another establishment, where I felt judged based on my appearance, age, and skin color, Nate’s on Marsh restored my hope that acceptance and equality still thrive. This place goes beyond just dining—it’s a reminder of kindness and respect.
A special thank you to Ariel for her outstanding service and to a young man named Kiss, who kindly took our photo, creating a memory we’ll treasure for years to come.
God bless this place. It’s a beacon of hospitality and humanity.

Top marks all around for Nate's on Marsh. We were travel weary after flight cancellations and a 4+ hour drive, and our original intention was to try the brunch menu. All things considered, we were at least able to make it for dinner, and we were not disappointed. The atmosphere is pleasantly cozy, and everyone from the hostess to the servers were friendly, helpful, and attentive. We highly recommend the Spaghetti Pesto and the Spicy Vodka Rigatoni. Thank you to the whole team for a wonderful dinner experience!

We were so excited to try this place, but it was just a little underwhelming. The decor, ambiance, and vibe is AMAZING. The food was all just alright. Our favorite thing was the Caesar salad, so cheesy and good dressing amount. We got 2 cocktails that were both good, but nothing special. For food we got the: pappardelle ragu and mushroom carbonara.
The pappardelle was a 4/5 the pasta and lamb was great but the sauce was a bit too tomatoy (just not a lot more flavor than tomato) but the meat was so good and again the pasta was so fresh we loved it. The mushroom carbonara though, was not our favorite, probably a 2.5/5. It was unfortunately the texture you never want carbonara to be it wasn’t creamy and the sauce didn’t stick to the noodle, it was that chalky almost scrambled egg like texture. The pancetta was amazing in it, but the mushrooms didn’t really add anything and maybe took away from the flavor a bit, and we love mushrooms so we were so excited. Additionally we got the spumoni cake and it was pretty good! I loved the pistachio and chocolate portions, but the cherry was sorbet rather than a creamy cherry which was not what I totally wanted. It also had the regular maraschino cherries rather than the amarena which was disappointing. Overall our evening and food was good, not great. Probably won’t come back as we are not locals, but it was a super cute and romantic spot especially around the holidays! Oh and service was pretty good just sometimes slow.

Food was amazing. Waitstaff was incredible. We will definitely come back. We highly recommend Nate's on Marsh to anyone. It's nice to know SLO has a wonderful and consistent dining experience available. The Tiramisu, Pistachio Gelato, Mushroom Carbonara, The Meatball and Champagne were delicious.
We are headed back again today to try Nate's brunch!
