The Ike’s Sandwiches corporate playbook, now in liquid nitrogen form.

Looks like Nite Creamery successfully optimized the soul right out of a local favorite to prepare for franchising and the Arizona suburbs. The ice cream itself is still perfectly fine, but the magic is completely gone.

The core menu has fallen victim to obvious cost-cutting. The legendary Nite Puff bubble waffle is gone, replaced by a dry, uninspired cone that seems designed for assembly-line speed rather than taste. Even the mix-ins are clearly rationed now, and you practically have to play hide-and-seek to find a few strawberry fragments in your scoop. It is a decent dessert, but it is no longer the top-tier premium experience that built this place.
The new vibe doesn't help either. They switched to a dark, toned-down, and aggressively uninviting aesthetic that tries too hard to be a premium hipster space but just feels sterile. To their credit, the staff members are perfectly friendly, but your entire relationship with them is limited to the five-second interaction when they pass the finished cone across the counter.

You don't actually get to talk to anyone before that point anyway. For almost $14 for two scoops, you get the privilege of ringing yourself up at a self-checkout kiosk. Then, to complete the peak modern dining experience, the screen boldly asks for a 22% tip for the absolute zero-labor transaction of tapping your own card.

If you want decent ice cream served with a heavy side of corporate standardization and kiosk audacity, this is your spot. Otherwise, the local’s favorite era of Nite Creamery is officially over.

I ordered a custom salted caramel with chocolate drizzle, by the time I got my order I didn’t recieve a spoon which wasn’t a big deal, but I didn’t have the topping(s) that I paid for. I understand not providing me a spoon despite ordering two separate ice creams, but to not include my topping(s) was definitely intentional. I inquired about my order and even thanked the server(s) all throughout the process to make my order right, I never once received an apology or acknowledgment of the error on their end, unbelievable. The ice cream wasn’t even made correctly, it was poorly made with crumb like chunks. I’ve ordered this before to know how it usually looks.

Really has gone down hill since 5 years ago. No more fresh waffle cones? Why bother? Ice cream is also not as good as Mama Meatball's gelato just across the way.

What happened to the puffs 😔???? Now it’s just your average ice cream shop

We loved this place, biggest draw was the waffle puff cone but they discontinued it. ice cream is okay but flavors aren't strong enough

Love this ice cream spot! The puffy cone is delicious and the way the ice cream is made is fun to watch! My little brother loves this spot. There’s no way we could pass by and him not get some! The vibe outside is nice too.

Cool made fresh with nitrogen in a mixer

Be ready to wait over 30minutes, each individual scoop is prepared from scratch. I got the mint and I really wasn’t impressed. The flavor was pretty weak, I got chocolate sauce added and there was maybe a teaspoon’s worth. Waffle cup was soft and tasteless. First time in years I haven’t finished a single scoop serving of ice cream.

Really long wait times, approximately 36 minutes for a single scoop. There were 2 people handling all the orders, then someone emerged from the back to help and the queue went down.

Absolute garbage.

Excellent ice cream and very creative flavors. Each order is made to order, so be prepared to wait. It’s worth the wait.

Delicious ice cream inside a cute patio.
