This place is a gem! Hands down the best sourdough. We always have to limit what we have at the house since it’s just so darn tasty. My girlfriend is gluten sensitive but the sourdough has no effect on her. We are lucky to have such a great bakery so close.

Stopped by for a breakfast after reading the great reviews, service was excellent, friendly and quick. Prices were okay, parking was easy midweek and earlier in the morning. Vegan cinnamon roll was very good, only recommendation on the cookies would be a more consistent texture, it was hard on the outside edge and soft on the inside. Flavor was delicious.

What a cute wonderful bakery set in the heart of SLOtown! Quality baked creations right on our Main Street. Super nice establishment that cares about the environment, thus they also participate in “ Too Good to Go”. TGTG helped motivate me to finally visit & grab a fresh baked bag of yummy goodies. Best bread I have ever had, will be a regular. English muffins are fresh and tasty! Pastries and cookies are fun and don't taste like they are loaded with sugar. Catering by Proof and Gather for recent baby shower was awesome , all quest loved the choices. Welcoming ambience and staff greets you with a smile. A must do in SLO!

Prices were high (as expected in downtown) but food really wasnt very good in ny opinion. Maybe its just my taste buds given this place's otherwise stellar reviews but honestly it all tasted bland, and the coffee was really burnt and sour. I won't be returning but maybe worth a try to see if you like the flavors better than me. By the way, its a super small store so only 2 tables are inside and they're close together (which isn't their fault, just something to note). Also great vegan options.

Randomly stopped in to try something and was pleasantly surprised. The mixed berry scone was beautifully buttery, with a sugary crisp outside and heavenly soft on the inside. Definitely want to return and try some more treats!
Randomly stopped in and grabbed the gluten free and vegan almond butter choc chip cookie and it might’ve been the best cookie i’ve ever had (including ones with gluten/dairy…). Had to double check the website that it was gluten free and vegan. Will def be going back!!

Proof & Gather provided tarts for my wedding. The Spiced Apple Cider tart one received particularly high praise! It had a layer of fresh apple compote and a caramel drizzle on top. It was the perfect fall dessert offering for our menu. I'm wishing I had another slice of it right now!
