Quesadilla Gorilla

We dropped in for dinner and enjoyed an asada quesadilla and luckily Happy Hour so enjoyed a $5 draft Cali Squeeze. Fun to enjoy a great meal in the foothill neighborhood where I worked at Chapter One Restaurant years ago.
The quesdilla was delicious with meat, rice and cheese. It normally comes with Pico de gallo but unfortunately raw onions and I don't get along, so I choose to leave that out. The cream and avocado sauces are our favorite.
If you haven't tried it we highly recommend!

We got the food truck at an event at our office today. The food was delicious and came out fast and hot. They used large tortillas so very filling. I will have to check out their restaurant. I highly recommend them.

The catering kiosk served up fresh and delicious options. Danny and Alex worked our event. They were both friendly and professional. I had a custom quesidilla with cilantro lime chicken, white cheese with rice and beans. It was beyond my expectations. The sauce options were great, ready to serve and fresh. I highly recommend Quesilla Gorilla and would choose them for the next event.

It’s truly one of the worst run restaurants I’ve been to which sucks because the food is good.

They’ve messed up my order 5 separate times. One of the times the kid was absolutely zooted and messed it up 4 times in a row. He came out and clarified my order probably 6 times throughout the process and still kept bringing the wrong thing out. Felt like I was in a curb episode tbh.

When you walk in, there is never an employee at the counter. It usually takes them a few minutes to come out. Super weird vibe in there.

Tonight the girl finally came out from the back but I was finishing up placing my order on their ipad. A few minutes later she comes back out and says I’m so sorry we are all out of soyrizo tonight. When she was trying to process my refund she couldn’t figure out how, but if she was out here to take my order we wouldn’t have had this issue because she could have told me they were out before i paid. Then she says i can just make it for you. I ask her what she means i thought they were out. She says well we have it I would just have to make it because we don’t have any ready.

I definitely don’t blame her because whoever is running this place doesn’t care enough to give her the resources to do things correctly. They probably won’t last long which is a bummer.

Not open the hours they’re supposed to be. We called ahead of time because a friend of ours loves this place and we wanted to go for her birthday yesterday (a Friday). Not only did we call ahead of time and confirmed that the restaurant will be open until 10, but then we walked in a bit after 8 past sign that noted the hours were until 10 and the same guy that talked to us on the phone told us the restaurant was closed (TWO HOURS early). Then lied and said he thought we were talking about coming in that same day when we were explicitly clear about coming in yesterday. Awful awful service. We were literally turned away. And it was nearly two hours before closing time anyway according to the sign we were standing right next to! No explanation either. Very weird.

We ended up going across the street to Roku Ramen and had a great meal and they stayed open past closing time for us and even played us happy birthday over the speakers

Could not recommend more! This was my first time having Quesadilla Gorilla and I can confidently say I was NOT disappointed. Service was amazing and the sweetest, most helpful people ever. Atmosphere was great (even had a little doggy celebrity picture on the wall.) Food was delicious, you’re sure to get the famous cheese pull from these quesadillas!! Check this place out for sure;)

I wanted to love it but it was just bad. Didn’t really like the quesadillas. I didn’t like that their quacamole is basically green salsa, also didn’t like the cilantro sauce. The restaurant was clean which I appreciated but they were blasting the radio and a tv channel at the same time which was overstimulating especially if you wanted to talk to the person next to you on top of that noise. As for the service- we put our own order in on the kiosk and he brought out our food. He was nice when he brought out the food.

Just visited Quesadilla Gorilla for the first time today. I got a just cheese and meat quesadilla with the carne asada, pico de gallo and avocado salsa. Food was good, the meat was not fatty at all, which I as a picky eater
enjoyed. Felt on par with, if not a little bit better than, a Chipotle quesadilla for reference. Portion size was good, with plenty of meat. The avocado salsa was very good. The person who helped me was nice, though I was just picking up an online order. Definitely felt like a sterilized chain restaurant instead of a local one. I don't know if I'd go out of my way to go back.

After seeing all 5-star reviews we were excited to go. When we walked in 4 people were waiting for their order. I overheard 2 of them needing to ask for items in their to go order that had been forgotten about. We each ordered a beer which took about 10 minutes to get from the people working who didn't know what drinks we ordered even after looking them up. The food took a very long time and the serving sizes were smaller than expected. Food was good enough but the time to get the food despite there being no line to order was way too long!

Delicious, quesadillas. I have tried them twice and found both times flavorful and unique. The staff are beyond friendly and the ambiance is chill. Quesadillas should a a comfort food, and this place does it right. The carnitas and the asada one I tried tasted great and will be back to try the rest. Thank you for the food you offer.
