Always loved this truly sourdough bread but today I bought a loaf which had the Sourdough label BUT WAS JUST PLAIN WHITE BREAD! Was it mislabeled or did it not ferment long enough to create the sourdough taste? Quality control? Very sloppy baking. Ah, now i know the cause: Bimbo now owns San Luis Sourdough! They ruined La Brea Breads and now they’re cutting corners on San Luis. Too Bad. Will have to find another bakery.
I'm a california girl born and raised and have moved to the east coast area. Can't get this out of bread over here but let me tell you, it is the best! I'm waiting for the day when I can actually buy this online instead of having to control my family to spend a ridiculous amount of money to have it mailed to me.
I like the sourdough pumpernickel. Very hard to find it. I have purchased regular sourdough and have experienced some holes. No big deal. I like your bread. Make ,more sourdough pumpernickel please. prtcalbert
