Food was so good. Chili is delicious, and so were the burgers and wings. Bartender who was also our waitress was very nice.
We stopped in here a couple weeks ago on Tuesday night on our way home from a spring break trip. Honestly, we chose the place because it was one of the few places open late on a random Tuesday night. We ended up having a fantastic meal! Our bartender and server was named Danny and he was super nice and attentive for being the only employee in the front of house area. Our food was cooked perfect, drinks were great, and it was a fun atmosphere. We will definitely return when we are back in the area!
This was next door from the Sands Inn where I was staying for a few nights. We needed a quick meal. We sat right down, and you can order via a bar code if you want to. It wasn't crowded, so we ordered at the bar. It took about 20 minutes for the food. The smash burger was good. My wife and daughter had the chicken sandwich, which fell apart a bit. Fries and drinks were good. The atmosphere was nice with indoor and outdoor eating/ hanging out space. If we had more time, it would be a good place to hang out and watch some basketball/ football.
We were in the area for the day, I was with my grandparents and we were showing my son to the local college because he's of college age. Any who we were starving and their were a few options on the street but I wasn't in the mood for hit or miss so we chose this place. My grandma dashed across the street to scope out the menu (make sure it was wheelchair accessible as well) and well the coast was clear. Super cute place nice scenery nice lay out. There was one person in there in the front managing the bar and the restaurant in general and she didn't seem too happy about it. Several times we had to get her attention as she was super busy setting up for the night she said. I ordered the frank no cheese (smash burger onion rings bacon barbecue sauce) my son got the same thing I got but with cheese my grandma got the Royale with cheese (smash burger plain with cheese) my grandpa got the Oh Gee dog which he pronounced ogg Dogg ( I screamed) (100% Premium All Beef Dog Wrapped in Center Cut Bacon, Pico De Gallo, Chipotle Crema ) I also got a boozy milkshake (homemade milkshake with alcohol in it) while the food was absolutely delicious the service was NOT. I still left a 20 percent tip because well that's how I was raised to be. :)
Quiet and casual , ample seating. Brussel sprouts and wedge salad were fantastic. Service was friendly and attentive.
Bar adjacent to a hotel that offers burgers and beverages. On the main drag near a lot of other hotels, it is convenient and reasonably priced to grab a quick bite or hang out for an evening.

Went to SLO for my niece's graduation and this was far enough out of downtown that it was quiet but the food is outstanding the services really good in the place is nice, lots of parking in right off the freeway.

There is a reason they have such a low score. Staff try to make up for the extremely low quality and high prices. The whole place smells like spoiled meat(I'm not being dramatic it really is that bad).

I stayed at the hotel and had many meals at the Schoolyard. Service was great, and the food was excellent too. Travelling alone with bad weather outside, it was a comfort to know that I had a 5-star place to eat and work inside the hotel.

Service was great. Food was lacking heavily. Just get a coffee or a mimosa whenever I go now. The food has to change if I’m to order

Left here 730pm on 8/2/23. There was only one person working. One single human. Now I do think the one person I saw had a cook in the back but I did not see that human so at this point I am assuming that this lone soldier was cooking the food as well. One person.Taking orders. Running the bar. Making the drinks. Bringing the food. Cleaning the tables. Dealing with the customers. And yes I even witnessed his receipt printer running out of paper so then he had to go on a scavenger hunt to find the receipt rolls and replace it; because of course that would happen when you are one person running an entire restaurant and possibly cooking the food as well!!One. Single. Human. And he was doing a fantastic job!!! Great job to you my brother. He gets five stars but really he deserves most of the dollars that he helped drive to the business that night.Food was above average. Burger was good. I didn't love the crinkle cut style of French fries they served but I understand that fries are kinda of gamble. This business needs to staff better which in todays world means you need to pay more. If you can't pay more, cut positions or cut the business. Treat your people better. Until then. One star.

Kind of a hidden place but the food is excellent the quality is amazing prices are reasonable beer is a little bit expensive and the people that work there are amazing. The red-headed bartender I forgot her name was there yesterday was an amazing and special and awesome just such a sweet person to talk to from now on when I go up to that town which I do frequently I'm staying next door at the hotel which is attached
