Everything's great about Shalimar. We've been going for over 12 years, and not only because we love the food, but the atmosphere and the people there are great! The buffet is awesome, every day of the week there's a buffet and even a monday night buffet.Vegetarian options: we are vegetarian, there are tons of dishes that are vegetarian and vegan, and they clearly label them on their menu and a the buffet, too.
Food was ok - too salty for what I’m used to, and the meat a bit overcooked. It definitely wasn’t bad, just wasn’t that great - especially for the price. Service was really where the bulk of the frustration was. Lovely you woman served us, very kind but she seemed overwhelmed.. took about 10 minutes just to get the order put in and then another 25 minutes until the food came. It wasn’t event that packed..

Eating at shalimar buffet has become a weekly thing for us. But we enjoy ordering specific dishes too, like malai kofta, and baingan bharta. So tasty! Of course we love their palak paneer, too! Were are both vegetarian and there are so many options. Best Indian food we've had, and the family that owns Shalimar are great people too! Great atmosphere and the patio is nice for eating on a warm day.

This was our first time and we loved the food! The service was fantastic! I'm vegan and my husband's vegetarian. We both had many options to choose from. We started with the Vegetable Samosas and they were delicious! My favorite was the Aloo Gobi. The dishes are a generous portion and we enjoyed everything we ordered. We can't wait to go back!

The food was fantastic! With both spicy and mild choices, you'll find there's something for everyone.
We have been here twice for the buffet and enjoyed it both times. The price is really great and the food quality is very good. My son enjoys the tikka chicken and watermelon while my husband and I enjoy almost every dish and the rice pudding is sooo good. We live in Paso and it breaks our hearts to not have local Indian food but this place definitely makes up for us having to wait until we are in SLO.

Came here after a day of wine tasting. Recommended from a staff member at Le Cuvier. The food was amazing! Large portions, extremely flavorful, and many options to choose from. This place is hard to beat, and they've set the bar pretty high. Hope to be there when I can try their buffet. If you are visiting, this place is a must!
