Amazing food!!!

Garret was great! The food and the service was fantastic. He was responsive and clear about what to expect. Everything was delicious and well seasoned. It’s hard to even choose a favorite dish since they were all so delicious in their own way. The seasoning was a good amount to highlight and infuse flavor, but not overpower the taste of the dish. The portions were great and well priced.

We got the ordered the premium party platters and the braised short ribs were a major hit. Incredibly savory and fell apart in our mouths. I would highly recommend for anyone throwing a small party.

I hope to someday book his educational cooking class :)

Last night, we attended the CalPoly Chinese banquet catered by Sichuan Kitchen SLO, and I was in awe, not only by the high quality and meticulousness of the eight dishes, but by the sheer quantity of food. Chef Garrett and a team of six CalPoly volunteers fed over 500 hungry guests. All the food came out perfectly—warm, delicious, crafted with care and authenticity. And when I interacted with Garrett, he was calm and professional, not feeling the pressure of feeding that many demanding guests. Impressed is an understatement.

Amazing food! Really delicious with generous portions. Cannot go wrong with any menu item, everything was fresh and such high quality ingredients. The chef and his partner are so friendly and I had a great experience. Absolutely going back for more.

Excellent experience. The business’ owner, Garrett, prepared a Sichuan meal in our home, complete with a presentation on Sichuan foods, drawing from his own experiences living and working in China and beyond. We found the experience to be memorable and the flavors were really enjoyable in every dish. Garrett worked with us on the menu beforehand and went to great lengths to satisfy our wishes. Highly recommend!!

Great Food! I usually go to the store on foothill on Mondays and see what they gave available (it's better to order in advance if you can). Very friendly Husband and Wife team and the food is tasty. I've had the Dan Dan noodles and twice cooked pork and Chicken wonton and all are amazing. I look fwd to trying the other dishes. Give them a try!

Only good Chinese food i know of in SLO

The owners are so sweet and seem to love what they do. I had recently learned about real Mapo Tofu and the numbing peppers...it is such a unique flavor and I found it in SLO! I also ordered Chicken Wonton and it too is very good- I had to stop myself from eating too many.At first everything seemed too salty, but as I'm sitting here post dinner glow the taste left in my mouth is wonderful.Once again, great people and great food and very reasonable prices for what you get. It's a win-win. ❤️(Next time I'll bring my own dishes I wasn't sure how that worked, but seeing how they assemble the food once you arrive I see how it works)

We enjoyed the experience and flavors! Especially loved the chicken wontons! We will have Monday night takeout again.

My husband and I did the Monday night takeout for the first time this week and we were very impressed with the quality and great taste and spices used in the dishes we ordered. We are so excited to actually have a local source for good Chinese food and Garret's food definitely satisfies that! We look forward to attending some of the pop-up events as well.

Just had last night's Monday menu! Ordered one of everything and 2 of the dumplings and we were in heaven. The best flavor with just the right amount of spice. Can't wait for their next menu!
