SloDoCo has gone down in quality while increasing prices over the past 3 years. I understand inflation required a lot of businesses to raise their prices but now these donuts are just a rip off. They used to be very high quality and stay fresh for a couple days. Now they're just like every other donut shop while still having that premium price tag. My biggest gripe came when I ordered a chocolate ring with sprinkles. The price came out to something way higher than expected...
Donuts look cool and colorful but they are very midrange bland. Walked out with a box of six, tried some tonight and not impressed. Will stick with Twisted & Glazed in Paso Robles. Was down in SLO so thought I'd try out SloCo. No contest. It's all about the icing and T&G is absolutely killing it with their new additions and seasonal offerings. Tons of flavors cranked up to 11. Not just colorful and "sweet".
OMG best donuts ever. I have had cake donuts but never tried a Buttermilk donut before and it was amazing. Also you don't need powder sugar or glaze its very sweet and tasty on its own. Also they have seasonal specialty donuts - I tried their seasonal donut holes which were apple-cider flavored and they were also good but even better was their London Fog (with Lavender Syrup) and service. So Nice :)
