It was an awkward situation really. There was a man on the sidewalk area of the Plaza asking for change, it was getting dark & cold, I asked him what he wanted the money for and he replied he was hungry! I was there to get my mail from the business next to the restaurant, I asked him if he liked Mexican food & if he had ever eaten there before because I would buy him dinner there if he was ready right then. So we walked right in, we were greeted nicely by a gal at the register & I quickly asked her if we could get a couple dinners to go? and to please get the man whatever he wanted & I ordered what I wanted & I was paying for them. She took it in stride, help the man, our orders were done quite quickly, bagged with everything we needed & we left but ended up sitting outside eating our meals. It was all good, hot, fresh & fair value for cost & quality.

One of our very favorite spots for Mexican food in the entire county, especially for take out. My wife and I both love their carne asada burrito and taco plates. A tad bit on the pricier side, but the quality for both these items is always top notch and the portions for their burritos are always on point unlike some other places which overload rice and beans and skimp on meat.
The depth of the flavor profile for their carne asada in particular always leaves us wanting to come back for more each time we have a craving for Mexican takeout. Special shout out to their orange salsa. Has a relatively big spice kick, but it is incredible on their burritos. Amazing take out spot locally that’s blown most everything else out of the water since its arrival here in SLO.
