Favorite place to swing by for a reliable tasty sandwich or bowl! Always a great atmosphere.
Casual space and tasty food- cookies were super tasty. Chairs could be more comfortable but booths are great.
Stopped in to have something to drink, everything smells so good had to have a little snack as well, ended up sharing peanut butter and jelly flatbread and cheese sandwich flatbread with a small salad, I enjoyed a beer I'd not had before and with quite surprised with a comfortable booth and atmosphere that allowed me to relax before continuing on with my day in SLO!
BBQ Tri Tip was bangin
I just had my first food experience here and I must say that I think I’ve discovered my very favorite salad in all of California! Everything was just perfect and I can’t wait to have an excuse to come back to this area and get it again! The staff was really kind And respectful. I did think the dining room was a little uninviting, but I don’t really see myself hanging out here, but I definitely see myself coming back soon for takeaway… :-)
Got the ahi tuna bowl. The tuna was very chewy and over cooked. If you like jerky on your salad this is the spot. I also paid extra for avocado and received two very thin thin slices
Solid choice for lunch. Caprese Sandwich great choice.

Maybe above average college town food? Decent but nothing to write home about. I'd eat here again but I would not be excited about it.

I came here with just barely enough money to get myself something to eat after coming from Santa Maria, and the lovely lady covered me with just a 25¢ different.

First time in an Urbane Cafe. Nice experience. Staff was friendly and service was relatively quick. Price is on the high end for what you get compared to similar types of establishments across the country (but this is SLO California, so...). Both sandwiches were rated as excellent. Party of two opted to have chips instead of the salad (they charge extra for changing that out unfortunately). Glad we stopped by and would certainly consider them again when in town.

Reasonable food, indoor or outdoor seating and self serve drinks with counter ordering. Dog friendly. Easy access. Good luck finding street perking. We used a public facility several blocke away. Area is very walkable

URBANE CAFE WAS DID NOT FAIL TO ENTERTAIN:). I loved the two bowls we got from Urbane Cafe. They were so fresh, tasty, and affordable! We started with the Baja Bowl which had a really good cilantro vinaigrette it was paired with. The chicken was incredibly tender and was cooked with no gamey taste which I liked! For both bowls the salad ingredients were extremely fresh, and complemented each dish perfectly. There was also complementary bread depending on your request which was also very fresh and seemed to be baked in house. The waiters were so kind and just had a great attitude about them which I enjoyed. The ambiance was nice with outdoor seating right in downtown SLO. The bowls were quite affordable with the total becoming $26 after tax for both bowls. OVERALL I would definitely recommend this place to others and would love to come again.

Short order place but very good food for a chain restaurant. My kids and I love coming here. Sandwiches are large enough to split between two people. Everything I’ve tried is wonderful and great value. Also, if you look at the brand’s story you’ll find that you can feel good about eating here. (Unlike fast food).
Kid-friendliness: My kids love to split the club sandwich and cookies.
