Solid winery. I was surprised to learn that this winery has the same winemaker as Little Uvas Vineyards which they share the space with here because my friends and I all thought the wines at LUV were terrible whereas the wines here were pretty decent. Wine tasting is $20 for 5 wines (variety), waived with a $50 purchase. The tastings are given all at once in little carafes so you taste at your own pace. Reasonable pour sizes. We recently discovered DeRose has a tasting room in the Gilroy area by a recommendation. We have been up to the winery in Hollister, which is a bit of a drive, but worth the time because the wines are all incredible. So we were excited to try out the new tasting room that is much closer to us.The people running the tasting are family and were so nice. I love DeRose Tasting Room. The wine is impeccable, with the varieties including their reds, sparkling wines, rose, and white wines. The ambiance of the beautiful bar, friendliness of the staff, music, options of bringing a picnic or ordering a wood fired pizza, as well as games for all ages makes this unique establishment one that I will enjoy often!
