This winery is awesome! 10/10 would recommend. The wine is delicious, and the views are stellar. Melanie is incredibly knowledgeable about not only the fruit grown on her property, but about the region more generally. It’s a special opportunity to be able to actually chat with the owner of a winery as high quality as this one and hear about the history and work that goes into producing the delicious wine that she’s pouring. We’ll be back for sure!

What an unexpected and fabulous experience. Tucked away off the beaten path, you come upon a scene of a working winery. Upon being let in, things quickly evolved into a delightful exposure to a working winery that had just picked and processed grapes that morning. Then we were led around back to the tasting area and thus began the most interesting tasting experience I’ve ever had. Immediately the family vibe was present and you felt like you were visiting friends. The wines are all top notch. Then there are the goats, sheep, donkeys ,Kune Kune dog pigs and more. All available for petting and enjoying their charm and sweetness. And of course there is Melani the owner. Such a great story and a very warm engaging soul. Plus her wonderful father and delightful grandad. We even returned the next evening and saw a gorgeous drop of the sun onto the horizon. Then came back the next day and bought some used wine barrels. Wow!! Don’t miss this place !!!

Marvelous Marvelous Marvelous! My wife and I and puppy were astonished with our visit to Bon Niche Cellars. We came to the region to do some wine tastings. This was easily the most intimate personalized day of our trip. Melanie is the Owner/Winemaker/Proprietor of this great little winery at the top of the hill. She's a Ex Navy Nurse who got her itch by being stationed in Italy. We tasted about 6 different wines with her as our sommelier. Excellent Italian inspired reds and a great rose. We met several rescued animals/pets on the property which just adds to the experience. The views are amazing. Do yourself a favor. You rock Melanie!!

I had the pleasure of visiting this stunning winery, and I was blown away by the breathtaking views and exceptional wines. The vineyard's picturesque setting, complete with a charming herd of sheep and adorable donkeys, sets the tone for a truly memorable experience.

We were in the area and saw Bon Niche on the map so decided to stop by. We had no reservation, but Melani kindly let us interrupt her lunch with a friend and offered us tastings and a visit with her animals. She provided carrots for us to feed them and they were a lot of fun to interact with. She set us up with an umbrella and a view that overlooks the hills and you can watch the animals roam through the vineyard. We got to meet her grandpa and chat with her and her friend for quite a while. Such a lovely and personable experience. I believe the tasting included 5-6 wines and was very affordable. The wines were great and we ended up buying several bottles. We really appreciated our time here. If you are looking for an intimate experience that includes fun animals and great wine and views you should definitely check it out.

Bon Niche is a great little winery, sustainable, they offer delicious options of Bordeaux grape variety (Malbec, petite Verdot for example). Perched on a hilltop, the place offers also great views. I would definitely recommend them for an authentic tasting experience.
