This store is solid overall. Produce: 5 Dairy: 5 Deli/Hot Food: 4 (great place for quick eats - pre-COVID) Bakery: 4 (gone through transition over time with patissiers) Meat: 4 (Gary is the only butcher I trust in that department in terms of getting special cuts, others will not listen or just salty) Cost: The usual Whole Foods price, you can find deals every now and then or find common goods cheaper at other grocery stores.

This Whole Foods does not accommodate pregnant women with their social distancing policy. They require pregnant women to wait in a long line...in the sun...and where the store just like everyone else. That's shameful and they should do better.

It's "fresh and exciting", paraphrasing the old Kool & The Gang song "Fresh". Super clean and bright, a truly beautiful market with everything you want under the sun. On the organic and healthy side of town, a wide selection of breads, fruits, veggies, meats, and fresh juices. As with all Whole Foods, you've got to be prepared for the expensive price point. You can make jokes like "Whole Paycheck", but it's closer to being the "Holy Land", or better yet, righteous territory -- expect the highest quality around. The prepared foods area has pizza, sandwiches, burritos, and yes -- soups, salad, and plenty of selections for hot foods in a self-serve salad bar style. AWESOME! Location specific: San Ramon, CA ============================== * Very helpful and nice -- it's hard not to like. * Always several cashiers available, little to no line. * Even during COVID-19, amazing amount of selection. Kudos to Purchasing for sourcing of secondary suppliers.

I consider Whole Foods a specialty store. I don't do my regular grocery shopping here. However, when I'm looking for something special I come here. The meat counter offers fresh organic meats with great service. I often come here for cakes, pastries and baking ingredients. There's a whole section of chocolates! I also love the deli and prepared food sections. We often stop by here in between my boys' activities as was the case over the weekend. My boys were starving and they needed a mid morning snack. The hot foods and prepared salads area are always clean and freshly stocked with delicious looking food. They were able to pick out a snack then sit and eat all within 20 minutes! Very convenient.

An upscale grocery store where you can buy food for your home at high prices. Lots of prepared food and they have a small place where you can eat it.

I have been geTting breakfast before work, as well as some grocery shopping, at Whole FoOds for a long time. Today I go at 7am, as usual, and they are CLOSED!!! The lady tells me, "we don't open until 8." I show her on my phone that it shows Whole Foods OPEN "NOW" at 7am. She tells me , "oh they must not have changed it on the web". WHY were the hours changed?!!? Makes no sense at all! I won't be shopping at Whole Foods anymore.

Whole Foods San Ramon makes an absolutely decadent Vegan Chocolate Mousse Cake!! Both my daughter and I are extremely sensitive to dairy and while trying to find a delicious dairy-free cake for her engagement party, I happened upon this one at Whole Foods. The saleswoman at the bakery counter was gracious enough to prepare me a small sample of the cake so I could try it before ordering a whole cake and, after a couple of bites, I was sold! I've since ordered two of these cakes for separate events and everyone (even non-vegans!) have loved them! Highly recommend!

Ordered a smoked turkey weeks ago for an early morning pick up today. When I arrived, the line wrapped through the whole store and ONE person was checking people in while the other person entered it into a computer. There were over 500 orders today and they had these two poor women at a little table at the back of the store trying to check everyone in. They seemed to be putting together orders as they were requested, as I saw an employee grabbing items from the cold food section to complete an order. There are no words for how poorly this was managed. Shame on the supervisor that put these employees in such a bad position today- they seemed apologetic and stressed, and were clearly doing the best they could, given the very limited planning, resources and manpower that had been made available to them. I hope they all went home and were able to de-stress with a good Thanksgiving with their families. I will never order anything from this store ever again. It took almost 2 hours to get the one turkey I had already ordered and paid for (one hour getting to the front of the line and 50 minutes once they had checked me in). PS- went to the Dublin store earlier in the day and they had multiple tables set up and the wait was 5 minutes to get to the front of the line. They clearly had managers that had taken the time to set their employees up for success.

My family and I decided to order a pre made meal from whole foods for Thanksgiving this year almost a month ago due to family circumstances and trying to make things easier on us. My pick up time was 1pm. I arrived at 1245. This was my first time ordering prepared food for a holiday, and was told whole foods was great! The line was from just about the front entrance all the way to the back of the store. Other customers started talking to me and saying they heard you had to register first, then wait again to pick up your order. People were so upset, the line was blocking regular shoppers, it was horrible. I waited forever just to register that I was there, and then had to wait again to receive it. It was so unorganized I couldn't believe it. People were getting frustrated, they were getting their orders incorrect. When I finally had my name called my order seemed incorrect. Apparently they had run out of one thing in my order and replaced it with something random without even telling me. I spoke with another person and he said they had done the same thing to him. By the time I got out of the store it was 215 and the store had closed. This was so ridiculous, I couldn't believe it. Then I had to go home and reheat everything for another hour and a half, which would have been fine, but I didn't plan on the extensive wait. Whole foods get your act together. With how much people paid for a nice meal, is it that hard to have things organized and ready when you tell them it will be???

Thanksgiving pick up this year is terrible. You pick a time yet stil have to wait an hour after waiting in a long line. This was poorly planned. Previous years were not like this. For the money I spent on this meal I shouldn't be made to wait like this. Unacceptable and don't think we'll be doing this again.

I love this store except for 2 big flaws: 1) the produce section is always way over crowded with customers and stock people, please expand this section it is an absolute nightmare shopping experience. 2) in the summer the AC is not blowing hard, it's super hot in the store which can't be great for the food!
