This place has the potential to be amazing, but my goodness the service is absolutely horrendous. It’s common sense to provide everyone’s food at the same time. Instead, one of our plates was the last one served - meaning someone had to eat after everyone else was done eating. Appetizer was served at the end of the meal. Someone threw up in the bathroom and it took them some time to come clean up.
If you’re the owner - please change this. You ask for tips ahead of time and customers choose to bring their service to you. The least you can do is provide customers with a positive and memorable experience.
Given so many Indian options in the Bay Area, go and try some other place that prioritizes customers.
Tried the rava dosa and onion dosa — both were super crispy, fresh, and full of flavor. Loved the chutneys on the side too! Definitely coming back to try more from the menu.
Had a great veg thali here — super tasty, with a nice mix of dishes and fresh flavors. The ambience is calm and clean, perfect for a relaxed meal. Staff were friendly and made the whole experience even better.
Regular visitor. Food is authentic and some items
like Rava dosa are really well done. But the servers need to be trained to serve well and to smile at least some times.
We have visited the restaurant a couple of times for lunch and dinner. The tiffin options like dosa and mirchi bhajji were well prepared and tasted good. However lunch was a bit disappointing - it had way too much rice and minimal curries and dals, any extras requested are charged extra, this isn't how most restaurants manage their lunch thali offerings. Service needs to be improved as it's way too slow.
The order takes more than one hour to get ready.
Best indian tiffins i had. Tastes like you eat tiffins in hyderabad. Andhra bandi dosa is a star. Best eatout place if you are craving for perfect South indian tiffins.
6/13/25 Update: still the best game in town for South Indian cuisine. New place even better! Keep up the great cooking.
Came here at 9:30am after a hike nearby. Were treated warmly by the hostess and then had fantastic filter coffee with idli and vada combo. These guys are so humble and nice. Super great taste.
We can stop going to Idli express in Fremont now that used to be our go to place!
Check them out if you haven’t been here. Best in Tri valley for sure.
We had Mysore bonda and poori with aloo curry. The Mysore bonda with chutney brought back memories of my good old Guntur days. The poori was more like paper; they could have served four smaller pooris instead of just two large ones, which would have been much tastier. The poori was just okay, but the curry was outstanding—absolutely delicious and reminiscent of the curry from Guntur Road. What we don't like is charging extra 2 dollars for poor curry, that's not required
The service was average; it seemed like the staff were students working part-time, often distracted by their iPhones and Instagram, lacking a sense of ownership. The ambiance was below average. However, would I go back? Yes, because the food is definitely tasty!

Felt nostalgic and came here to try this based on the name. Didn’t disappoint. Tried poori and ravva dosa. Food was tasty especially the chutneys.
Service was quick and staff were welcoming. Will visit this place again to try other stuff.
Update: Visited again to try the thali. Little wait, but it was well worth it. Tasty and satisfying meal.
Update: The food remains tasty, but the service is getting bad. Long wait times, take a long time for even water to get refilled. Pickup times are long as well. No empathy towards customers. Choose a less busy time to have a good experience I guess.

I tried their Pesarattu Upma, and it was delicious. The order came fairly quickly, and it wasn’t too crowded. We went on a Sunday for breakfast.
