I used to love going to this place but they removed my favorite on their menu. Used to go there almost once a week to get the salmon kama for dinner. They also changed the menu a bit which got worse (for me at least) and probably wont be back anymore. There are a lot of other sushi spots where the food is better but the ambiance is not as good as bamboo.

Food and service are great, but the drinks suck, completely watered down. When I complained they asked me to pay for a double.. Eventually, the manager brought me another drink in a smaller glass and he said it was stronger. I don't think they know how to keep a customer. Spending $150 on lunch and they are worrying about 1 oz of liquor. Don't recommend.

This place was delicious. Fish was so fresh. Well prepared and balanced. My partner loved his cocktail. Can't wait to go back.

Wonderful place to dine. Food was excellent even if a bit pricey. Even had a child’s menu.
The place was neat and clean, server was very nice, and not too noisy.

Shoutout Keyan, Mr. Calvin Kleinnnnn — give that man a raise, employee of the month, retire him, hang his name on the wall. I’ve travelled high and low and Mr. Keyan is crème de la crème. He is the caviar of the sushi.

From the moment I walked in, it was like customer service Olympics and Keyan took home gold. He’s folding towels, helping guests, solving world problems — probably running a side hustle in the back. You ask him where the bathroom is and suddenly you're in a guided museum tour. I asked for a simple recommendation and walked away emotionally invested in the menu.

Honestly, if excellence had a face, it would be Keyan’s. Keyan for president.

Keyan is best server everrrrr, me and my friends refuse to be served by any one else because his level of service is top tier! He deserves a raise! He truly goes above and beyond for the customers!

Very hard to find vegetarian sushi, but this place just hits the spot!! The edamame was spicy and so flavourful
The crispy cauliflower was on point and the brownie had black sesame seeds. So different n really amazing
Would definitely come back

We've been here quite a few times and every experience has been amazing! Great food and great staff! Every server we have had has been so kind and takes our gluten/shellfish allergy very seriously. Never had an issue :). Highly recommend this place!

This used to be our favorite sushi spot in San Ramon. We are a family of 5 and we have spent thousands of dollars here over the last 3 years and referred so many friends. However, we ate here yesterday and now we may not be back. The food is still great and the servers have usually been wonderful, but yesterday we had a reservation and still had to wait 30 mins. I worked in fine dining a long time ago so I’m not unreasonable, and I understand you cannot control how long a group of patrons decide to take on dinner. The things you can control are how you deal with that particular situation. If a family of 5 with 3 children under 11 have a reservation at 8:15 pm and the table isn’t available don’t just keep sending the poor hostess to apologize. After the first 15 mins offer us a drink. After 25 mins maybe even buy us a drink! At the very least offer the kids a soda or something. I’m sure a soda costs you pennies. What you shouldn’t do is seat us 30 mins after our reservation and rush us to have dinner because now the restaurant is supposed to close in 15 mins and the kitchen has to stay open longer to feed us. Between tip and our bill we paid over $470. (I don’t feel it’s fair to tip less to a server in this situation) I don’t have any issue with that price under normal circumstances, but in this particular scenario a free appetizer or beverage would’ve been a gesture that tells me you at least respect my time. Also, it’s kind of rude that we never got any comment from a manager at all. By the third time the hostess came to us to apologize that the table still hadn’t cleared out the manager should’ve been the one to tell us that. Just saying. This is the first time we’ve ever had an issue like this, and we feel it could’ve been handled better.

Another great visit to Bamboo Sushi. I am in San Ramon once a year and always include a visit to Bamboo. The wedge salad was a great starter. You get anice individual size for only $5. The selection of Sushi and sashimi is extensive. I chose the Chirashi which gives a good selection of sashimi to experience. There is a good selection of beer and spirits. If you want to learn about Japanese whiskey, sitting at the bar is a good alternative.
