The Cheese Steak Shop

I hate to leave these types of reviews but here it goes.

I have been to the Cheese Steak Shop in San Remon several times and have always enjoyed the food. And today was no different. The Cheese Steak was exactly what I have come to expect from a Cheese Steak Shop, the best Cheese Steaks I have have had outside of Philly.

We were warmly greeted and order taking was without issues.

But the place was filthy. Tables needed to be cleaned; there was food on the floor; the condiment area needed to be cleaned and restocked; and the fountain drink dispenser had mold/slime behind and below the ice push. The found drinks were also unbalanced, with more seltzer than syrup.

There were three staff on the clock and instead of taking care of the store during the downtime (between customers -- it was a slow time) all three were on their phones.

When I went up to get a bag to take the rest of my order, I noticed the kitchen area didn't seem well-organized (like it has in the past) or clean.

It was very sad because I really enjoy The Cheese Steak Shop and with a little effort, it could have been such a much better experience...probably a 5-star review.

To the franchisee of this establishment,
You need to get your management in order when you’re not present, because your employees are taking advantage of paying customers and the service is noticeably suffering.

As shown in the photos below, these are the three regular curly fries that we ordered. I would like an explanation for how these portions qualify as “regular,” because they clearly do not.

I’m not asking for a refund or sympathy — I’m letting you know exactly how your establishment operates when you’re not around. This is unacceptable for a business serving paying customers.

First time here. Beef was tasty, not juicy enough or maybe that's how this sandwich is.

the best cheese steaks!! we live down the street from the Sunnyvale location. we eat there all the time. they never disappoint!! but I started eating at the SF location since 2008. still bomb

They have a great curse steak Sando , with lots of variations.
But you can't beat the Classic

Ordered a western and got a regular meat and cheese sandwich Made the other one correct pizza cheesesteak.

I initially went in here because my 4 year old needed to use the bathroom and the place next door wouldn’t let us. On my way out I went to buy fries because I was grateful. Tim told me I didn’t have to, he would have let us use it anyway. He was super nice and I will definitely make it a point to come back for a whole meal sometime. The fries and onion rings were good, the cheesesteak looked and smelled amazing too.

Been going for years. Good place to eat. Bathrooms are pretty clean. Good place to stop if ur hungry.

Grease blew bottom of foil bag out. One expects some greasiness, but damn... Picture says it all. 2 stars because workers were cool, at least.

Tim 100% is the best, his hospitality is unmatched. Food is always top of the charts glad people like him work places like this. Thank you tim

I had a lot cheese steak ? sandwiches and this one pop. This cheese steak was phenomenal hands down to peppers and the cheese combo was superb. A must try ,?

I gave one star because I can't give none apparently. The kid who waited on me was a robot I swear If he didn't blink I would've ran out the door.. Expensive already nevermind please leave a tip signs everywhere, I was given NO napkins, when I opened the bag sandwich was soggy and spilled into my lap when I unwrapped it I won't be going back
