This food truck occasionally stops at my university. Is it an off day? Did I order the wrong thing? $12 lamb gyro was really gross. Pita was cold and hard to chew, lamb was like eating mushy strips of textured vegetable protein that had been defrosted but not cooked properly. Very salty and garlicky in a generic seasoning or bouillon sort of way. The only positive was that the veggies which dominated the gyro were fresh and crisp. I definitely do not recommend the lamb gyro.

I ordered the lamb rice and the chicken gyro, the lamb was sooooo soft and the rice flavor was out of the world, Mr Abdul is the most generous person i have ever seen, he and his team are amazing , good food and and an amazing person makes me wait for their truck every time they visit our apartment complex.

Great local food truck that frequents breweries that don't serve food. Had the chicken rice plate which was perfect and filling. Well seasoned chicken atop rice with a side salad. My friend had the meat combo plate and couldn't finish it because the portions were so generous. We also had the lamb gyro which was superb. Hopefully, we'll run across this gem of a food truck again!
Halal Bites of Chicago is so yummy. I've gotten the food from there for years it's always been top quality. The guy who runs the truck is very nice- always good customer service. I really like the lamb over rice plates. I don't think I've had anything else from there but I'm sure it's good. My friends have enjoyed other things on the menu. I recommend!

They were parked in front of Shadow Puppet Brewery and since I was picking up some beer I decided to give their lamb and beef gyro a try. Great food! I also had him make me a gyro with a hot dog in it instead of the usual type of meat and that was also great! Just like I used to have as a kid at Olga's Kitchen! I see they will be back at Shadow Puppet tomorrow and will be sure to stop by!

The food is Bomb! I had never tried this style of food before, super good. The flavor! I would always see this food truck pass by my job all the time. Good thing I finally got to try it. Thank you to the owner very nice guy.
