Very excited to finally see an Indian restaurant in Bishop Ranch. The atmosphere and decor are beautiful and create a great first impression.

That said, the food needs significant improvement—especially at this price point, where there should be very little room for error. Our dishes were served cold, lacked flavor, and were even missing basic seasoning like salt.

We came in with high expectations and were genuinely excited to try this place, but unfortunately left disappointed.

We were at the Khaki to celebrate a friend's birthday. It was a great evening and we enjoyed the food here. Everything we tried was delicious, even the chutnies with Papad platter were good.
Jackfruit cutlets, Paneer Pineheels were my most favorite from the evening. Gobhi Musallam was good too.
I tried saffron lemon drop and it was okay. I couldn't get any saffron other than the color. Server explained that it's saffron infused vodka but it didn't come through. Overall drinks were okay, not as good as the food for sure.
Definitely a place I will come back for sure though.

The food was good, but the service was extremely slow. There was only one person handling orders and attending to all the tables, which made the experience frustrating.
We were a party of 4 and these guys included service charge of 20% for 5+ people LOL

Given their menu price point, I would expect better staffing and overall service.

The food has potential, but without better service, it will likely end up as just another overhyped Indian restaurant in the area.

The only reason to not give a five star was that they were short-handed on the day we were there. The food was excellent, our server was impeccable overall a very good experience. Would definitely be going back there and maybe will revise my rating to 5 ⭐
Update: after an additional 2 visits I can happily upgrade them to 5 stars!! Really good service and good food, just what we wanted

Ok so we went here for some quick evening appetizer. It seemed like a decent place. We ordered CAULIFLOWER KOLIWADA. I think it is just gobi pakora in chipotle sauce masquerading as some type of fusion food. We also ordered guava punch. For the price the food is really not worth it. I feel everything is just over priced you are actually paying for sitting in the mall and not for the food.
Will not try again.

Excellent chef-inspired Indian food. Paneer pinwheel was the standout dish for me. Beautiful decor, great service.

Great experience at Khaki Restaurant! We dined as a party of three and really enjoyed both the food and the service. Special shoutout to Jacob, our attendant, for being attentive and friendly, and Amar, the floor manager, for making sure everything ran smoothly. Will definitely be back!

We visited for our anniversary after noticing their “Michelin recognized” claim, which felt more like a marketing tactic than a reflection of the actual experience. Having dined at many upscale Indian restaurants before, we had high expectations, but unfortunately, this place fell short.

We ordered the Handi mutton with biryani rice, jackfruit cutlet, and a few other dishes, but none of them were served hot. The mutton lacked spice and the rich masala flavor we were expecting. Overall, the food did not justify the price or quality.

Charging $34 for just the Handi mutton curry feels excessive, especially when it doesn’t even come with rice or paratha. The meal would have felt more worthwhile if those basics were included.

Solid contemporary Indian eats at San Ramon!
Most dishes hit the spot, but Champaran mutton felt a bit off-authentic.
Desserts stole the show, though.
Service was a drag, kept us waiting for food. 4
stars, would've been 5 with speedier service.

Kids menu was available and we ordered butter chicken and cheese naan. Both were hit with my toddler. We tried Champaran Mutton handi. It was not spicy but tasty however nothing out of the ordinary. The rasmalai tres Leche was very okay as well.

Overpriced! Prices like it's a Michelin star restaurant. Hiked their prices ridiculously since they opened. Neither the food nor the ambience justify the high prices. Only bright spot is the service, which continues to be good.

Nasty and overpriced food. My girlfriend paid about $30 per bowl for four bowls, and the quality was terrible. The food tasted off and made me sick with stomach issues. Definitely not worth the money. Would not recommend.

We had the most wonderful experience celebrating our anniversary at this restaurant! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel truly special. They surprised us with a complimentary welcome drink, delicious snacks, and even a beautifully presented cake to mark the occasion — such a thoughtful gesture that meant a lot to us.

The food we ordered was absolutely yummy — every dish was flavorful, fresh, and perfectly prepared. You can really tell they care about quality and presentation. The ambiance was warm and inviting, making it the perfect place for a special celebration.

Thank you to the entire team for making our anniversary so memorable. We’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and exceptional hospitality! 💕

The two appetizers (pani puri and the mushroom) we ordered were excellent. Very innovative and flavorful.
The tandoori roti was the best I’ve had in the Bay. The entrees we ordered were the kofta dish and the stuffed aloo. The stuffed aloo dish was very flavorful though it could have used slightly more spice.
The koftas were excellent but the gravy was way too sweet, a tangy tomato gravy would have been excellent with it.
The one cocktail we got was good.
Service was excellent and it was very sweet that they gave us two small samosas as a free treat for Valentine’s Day as soon as we got seated.
The ambience could be better considering the prices of the food. The tables were very tiny and too close to each other. The plate for the main food was also too small. Trying to fit half a roti and a servings of the curries was hard.
