Best sushi around! Not inexpensive, but worth every penny. Service was so friendly, timely and recommendations were on point.

AMAZING quality, a clean ambiance, great service and family friendly. We came for lunch and the rolls we ordered were delicious and the sushi/fish was all so so fresh. The staff was ever so warm, inviting and attentive -- we had a 2 year old with us so eating out can become a thing, but their kiddo friendly options were a hit and the staff checked in on us frequently and never made us feel like "that" family. My two year old had a California roll (real crab, little bits of cucumber and generous avo!), udon noodles and he even killed my miso soup side. We're hoping to come back here for a date night (beautiful interior) to try out some other items from their menu and what looks to be a very generously stocked bar and drink options. Thank you, Kinja!

Amazing sushi, great environment, and a very friendly staff. We had some rolls for lunch and even were given some free miso soup. Very good overall!

Really good sushi. O Toro was amazing. The rolls were bigger than I'm used to seeing. Grilled edamame was a nice touch. Restaurant is very clean and service was good. Well definitely go back.

Kinja saw an opportunity to bring high class sushi to San Ramon and they did it. Reservations are recommended as it gets packed quickly. Food here is relatively expensive but for quality it's no biggie for the deep pockets of San Ramon residents. You can get anything here from four different types of toro to fresh uni. I wish they had more rolls with a California roll base and not cucumber in everything. The menu is extensive and so are their alcohol options. It's a place loved by both families and big parities who want to have a good time.

First and foremost, friendly staff! They were fast and efficient and even though we didn't have reservations (they were slammed when we walked in) they sat us right away at the sushi bar. Yay! The prices were a tad high, even for a new sushi spot in San Ramon, but oh man was the food good!! I will DEFINITELY be back when I have a few extra bucks to splurge on raw fish. I was delighted when they let me have the last of their raw oysters (they must run out on a daily basis? At least that's what it sounded like) and those were also worth the price. I hope the next time I'm there they'll have at least a few left--it's difficult to find a good, fresh oyster these days! The mood was cool, too. Modern decoration, not overly distracting or cluttered, just simple and pretty. I don't even remember if music was playing, which is probably a good sign--it wasn't too loud and the restaurant was full, so I couldn't hear it over all the people having a great time! Highly recommend, if you can afford the extravagance.

First off, awesome spot! Was the old Zachary's location and they did a phenomenal remodel. Clean, inviting and modern/classic. We had the shrimp/veggie tempura app, the beef in mushroom tempura app, a Kewpie Imano roll, the Dragon Roll, pork ramen and the the tempura chicken entree. Every single bite was delicious and on point. My sons thought the Imano roll was in their top 10 of all time! Best of all, the staff was fantastic. I dropped off a cake at Lunch time and they lit the candles and lead the whole place in singing HBD to my wife later that night. What a perfect night. Thank you Kinja!!

We were looking for sushi in the area which is challenging as there are few good places besides my usual spot. But I think I found a contender that may now be my favorite spot. New place that opened up it seems very clean and modern decor with a nice bar. The cuts service was outstanding from bussers to servers. Everyone was so friendly and ensuring our table was good. Simple menu with the qr code with a huge selection of sushi, sashimi, ramen, and curry. The ramen was delicious forgot to take a photo and now the test to see if it can change my mind. The California roll was good the mixed sashimi was fresh and amazing. If you are looking for Sushi I'd definitely go to Kinja Sushi for great food and service.

Our experience at Kinja Sushi fell short of expectation's due to service issues. Starting off, the online menu, accessed through a QR code, lacked mobile formatting, leading to inconvenient screen adjustments. Although a printed menu was available, its prices were mysteriously blacked out, forcing us to cross-reference both versions. While deciding what to order, we asked the waitress to clarify sushi pricing, which looked a bit high. The waitress said the pricing was in line with other restaurants in the area. We explained that we've been to many local sushi restaurants over the years and yes, their pricing is, in fact, a bit high. Instead of addressing our concerns in a respectable way she sarcastically responded: "our fish quality is very good, but I don't know the kinds of restaurant you go to." We decided to leave rather at this point rather than deal with the very defensive waitress.

We've been here twice and omg this place is the best! Super friendly and attentive staff and amazing sushi. Great place to bring kids as well as it's on the louder side which is always a plus in my book because my toddler is quite loud.
