I had Marugame before in other countries..I came here because I am curious what is attracting this long queue because this shop didn't last long in my home country. I love udon, and I have high expectation for it. There is nothing special with the udon nor the soup base, very salty for my taste. I think frozen udon tasted so much better.You order yourself, serve yourself, pay yourself and also, return the tray yourself. I am not sure what part of the service deserve any tip? So when I saw the machine asking for tip that really tells me that I will never be back here again.

The employees are nice but the food is sub par. Don’t really think udon/ramen is meant to be made in bulk and this place makes that clear. We got two tempura items which were cold and soggy. The dining room is crowded, tables aren’t wiped down, and the dish pit is clearly visible from the dining room. Honestly lacked flavor considering it was miso ramen that I got, won’t be coming back.
My order was mixed up the first time I went, and the order they gave me was somewhat plain. The second time my order was correct and more flavorful buy still lacking.

The manager on duty was amazing! He did a great job ensuring there would be tables available for guests who are just getting their food. It is very inconvenient and inconsiderate when patrons reserve tables before getting their food, so to have a manager who is so proactive is really attentive customer service. A++!!
