A staple of my family for 17 years
Upon entering, the restaurant offers a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff is attentive, friendly, and welcoming, creating a pleasant dining experience. The space is charming and well-maintained, contributing to an overall positive first impression.
The horchata was flavorful, though it appeared that free refills were not available—something to consider, especially as a nearby restaurant offers complimentary refills on both drinks and chips. The salsa, while having a good flavor, was slightly watery, but the chips were fresh and well-prepared. There was no hot sauce available on the tables.
The carne asada was somewhat unremarkable, and the bean burrito required a bit of searching to find the chicken inside. In terms of overall food quality, this restaurant is comparable to its well-known competitor nearby, though the availability of free refills may be a distinguishing factor. It is worth noting that this location may offer free refills, but that information was not clearly communicated. Additionally, the jalapeños seemed to be canned rather than fresh, which slightly impacted the overall flavor.
The flavors here seem to be adjusted for a milder palate. Which I am sure some can appreciate.
Food was ready fast and tasted great!
I always enjoy their delicious food. Great customer service too!
Nice music for 5 de Mayo. I will celebratr there again
Taste of food was disappointing… food was hot but food taste was more like a cross between Mexican/Italian cooking. Best tasting was the side of pinto beans.
Full Disclosure: I am biased
I love Mexican food. There aren’t many Mexican restaurants that I wouldn’t give 5 stars, but Mexxis has been my favorite for 20 years. I have had more than half of their menu. Everything is good. Everything. Something’s are excellent. My favorite thing is that almost every dish is a little bit unique. It’s not a bean, cheese, rice and meat with tortillas type restaurant (which I also love!). Give it a shot, they have the basics if that’s what your into, but don’t ignore the specials board. If it sounds good to you, you will love it.
28 years of GREAT!!!
My birria tacos didn't have the lid closed correctly, so it got all over my carseat when I picked up the order and drove 5 minutes home.
I got the enchilada plate the dish says it comes with two and I only got rice and no beans I don't know if they ran out or what the heck was going on but the enchilada had great flavor I'm just not happy that I paid 26 bucks for 2 enchiladas and rice and beans and I didn't get my full order of Mole Enchiladas

Great place 👌
Ate outside since I walked with my dog. There’s a nice ceramic table in the shade. Had 2 tacos that were delicious. My friend had a fish burrito. They were seasoned well and very tasty. I ate mine so fast that I forgot to take a picture. Will be back again. Thanks.
Food was delivered to my house. The gentleman who came was very professional and friendly. Very good experience. The food was really good too.
