I had one scoop of the Parker House Rolls with Salted Buttercream ice cream on a waffle cone and it was excellent.
The smell of freshly made cones attracted me in but why was it hard and stale . Maybe i just got a bad one but i was sadly disappointed since the ice cream itself was great.
Amazing ice cream shop within the city center at bishop ranch. As you can see from photos, they get crowded quickly but the efficient staff is all about efficiency. Love the flavors and aroma inside this cute shop. Recommend!!
Packed for a Saturday 10PM.
Two of us ordered:
double scoop $8.50
single scoop $6.75
split scoop $0.50
Staff was friendly. Came by after eating at LB Steak.
Line took a bit longer to churn through than other Salt and Straws.
I don't believe there was any seating inside, some seating outside.
Staple when at city center! Good stuff.
Interesting flavors. I love that they let you sample any flavor. I got a single scoop split with 2 flavors in a fresh waffle cone. Coconut cake & pineapple jam (so so good, but it's ending soon) and coffee & love nuts (so good too). I sampled the strawberry Balsamic & black pepper and pear with Bleu cheese, these were tasty too. If you go here, expect to wait in line, we waited about 20 minutes. I'll def come back.
A friend recommended this place while we were in town. It's in a cute outdoor mall.
The staff was friendly and patient while we sampled flavors we've never seen anywhere else. The husband chose strawberry honey balsamic w/ black pepper. That was not to my liking, but he loved it. I finally chose the pear blue cheese -- not something I would have thought I'd like, but it was amazing.
I'm glad we followed her recommendation to go here. Come and give it a try.
Tasty ice cream. Friendly staff and atmosphere! Really neat plaza!
Visited this place on a hot Sunday afternoon after our lunch closeby.
There was a long queue as always.
The young people on the other side seemed to be helpful and listening to the customers always. We took the sea salt/ caramel and gooey chocolate scoops. Tasted great.
Shout out to this wonderful ice cream parlor the flavors are amazing and they let you taste as much as you would like. I was double charged on my receipt and I was wondering why my bill was so expensive. It was a hot day. I called in and let them know I was double charged. I didn't wanna go back because I was tired but when I got back, not only did they give me a refund. They gave me three hand pack flavors of their wonderful ice cream and they gave me sprinkles for my little one I was shocked once again I didn't wanna go back. It was like 100° today and I wanted to go home. I had ice cream in the bag that had melted. They refunded everything. Treat shout out to this young lady in the photo. I don't know her name but her customer service is excellent for above that I even expected. Thank you young lady for your hospitality. May you go far in the business

By far the best Salt and Straw location around with super friendly staff who are quick and patient! The ice cream is always great!
The flavor selection is super creative and constantly changing, which is great if you like trying new things. But taste-wise, it was just average for us — fun to explore, but not something we’d crave again. Would pass on the delicious smelling waffle cones because they are so stale and hard it was inpossibly to bite into and tasted horrible.
Order came out quickly and staff was very friendly.
Excellent customer service and community care! A huge shout out to Brandy and her whole crew working Saturday night August 16th, 2025 at the Bishop Ranch location!
Everyone was really friendly and moved the sizable line through efficiently and cheerfully. I never felt rushed or ignored. It was super busy with several movies getting out or starting at the theater. Lots of kids, teens, and adults hoping for some ice cream.
In consumer chaos like that it is understandable for even the best workers to loose their cool or kindness. Not here, not tonight. Everyone was working like a team.
Brandy (the assistant manager) was supportive of her employees and encouraged them in a great working-community way.
Oh did I mention the ice cream was delicious? Cause it totally was. Best way to end a night in San Ramon at the Bishop Ranch Shopping Center! Thanks Team Salt And Straw!
All of the staff were so nice and I like how you can sample the flavors before you get anything. I’m always excited for the monthly menu and each month I find a new favorite flavor 😊
