A JAR OF EXPENSIVE FATNESS YOU PAYING VERY VERY UNHEALTHY I don't know what is the hype about this place horrific wait time horrible lines & they should be confiscated for serving stupid bourbon mix alcoholic ice cream to even minors how come know one is saying or not doing anything about it no thank you not my kids will never eat here alcohol cricket cockroach filled ice cream this expensive garbage of a nasty ice cream and the lady branch manager is rude and stinky OMG she smells like she hasn't shower for days & she also smelled like pot when we were talking to her my lady and me feel like barfing sorry but it is freaking true .

Salt & Straw serves the best ice cream I’ve ever had! I tried the chocolate ice cream, and it was incredibly rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. The texture was perfect, and the portion size was generous—definitely worth every bite. A must-visit spot for ice cream lovers!

I love salt and straw and I always come to this location but yesterday unfortunately when I went with my friends the lady who gave us the ice cream was very rude for no reason. Also she was putting her fingers inside the waffle cone for no reason you can literally hold the waffle cone with a napkin or wear a gloves. She knew that she was rude she even skipped the tip part. I don’t know what it takes you to be kind to other people. It literally doesn’t cost anything to be nice and kind.
This was at 10 pm she was wearing glasses and her hair is black, I also thinks she’s Asian I’m only describing her so someone from the management can talk to her about her customer service.

This was our second time at Salt & Straw. We were excited to go again because the first time the ice cream and cones were delicious. Yesterday we stopped and all 3 cones were very stale. We went back to let them know and the young man just handed us 3 more cones for us to transfer our ice cream into them and we had to ask for spoons. We appreciated that he gave us 3 more cones but they were also very stale, you couldn’t even bite them.

I’m talking about turkey ice cream. Yes, turkey. And it was… surprisingly good. I don’t know how they did it, but they captured the essence of Thanksgiving dinner in a single, creamy bite. My taste buds were like, “Wait… is this dessert or existential enlightenment?”

But that’s only the beginning. Ever wanted a scoop of “Pine Needle with a Hint of Cabin Vibes”? How about “Avocado Toast with a Dash of Mortgage Regret”? The choices go from eccentric to just plain cosmic. Each sample is a revelation, and the staff patiently takes you through it like they’re guiding you through a fine art museum. “Oh, here’s a sample of our Honey Lavender with just a touch of Nostalgia for That Summer in 2012.”

The ambiance? Immaculate. A blend of rustic, hip, and “I’ll sell you a $15 ice cream cone because we both know you need this.” The lighting was soft and warm, clearly designed to enhance the flavor profile of the scoop of turkey and cranberry swirl I found myself eating and, honestly, loving.

Salt & Straw isn’t just dessert. It’s the culinary equivalent of interpretive dance, a symphony for your senses, a lesson in embracing the unconventional. Bring your family, bring your in-laws, and buckle up—it’s the kind of experience that makes you question everything you thought you knew about ice cream… and maybe life.

Had the Gooey Chocolate. It definitely made my day!!! They also have seasonal flavors, something for everyone!!!

Excellent small ice cream shop located in The Lot, San Ramon. If you drive up on the northside you'll start smelling the amazing waffle cone smell. They have great flavors as well as some unique ones that I dare you to try. The waffle bowl or cone is really the only way to go.

The taste is not that mind blowing like everybody sets it out to be. It doesn’t have that creamy, rich flavor I was looking for. I was disappointed unfortunately

You will wait in line, but it's worth it. The service is excellent. I was able to sample a few flavors, and the staff was patient with me while managing the line quickly. There are so many fun unique flavors! It's always a treat!

One of the best ice cream shops we’ve been to! Loved sampling the eclectic flavors and it’s great that they use washable steel spoons and not plastic for samples.
I got the kids size Honey Lavender and even then the serving size was more than I could finish. My waffle cone was delicious.
My kids also tried multiple flavors before settling on what they liked the most.
Service is amazing as well!
