Rating is about their service since we never got the food we waited 45 minutes for. They kept attending to take out orders that were swiftly being attended to while in house guests were left waiting. Saw maybe two tables getting served a single dish each in the entire time we were there but take out orders were swiftly going in and out. The place got crowded with take out delivery persons crowding the front. The whole place was a complete mess. They are severely inefficient. When we asked for our food 30 mins in they told us “5 mins” which turned into another 15 mins and then they sad it would be another 5 mins. We requested to cancel our order at that time and left.
The staff wasn’t professional either. The hostess asked us to take an open table but it was wet with a stream of water running down the table into one of the chairs from someone’s spill. We stood waiting while someone came to clean the table. We saw the hostess asking a staff person to clean it but she turned around and just shrugged it off. We were just left standing. We eventually took another table that opened up. Completely unprofessional place. Too bad. We were looking forward to some nice warm Nepalese food.

Nice atmosphere inside, friendly staff, really good food. Got paneer tikka masala spicy, butter chicken mild, rice and naan and mango lassi. All items were delicious and fresh.

I ordered gobi manchurian and they gave mixed of gobi and chicken. That’s so disrespectful and horrible

The food was okay, but not tasty. I asked for a mild dish, but there was no flavor at all. I’m used to tasting various spices in tika masala, but it tasted like plain tomato sauce.

We had a fantastic experience at The Gurkha Kitchen in San Ramon! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, taking the time to explain menu highlights. Every dish we tried was rich in authentic Nepali and Indian flavors — especially the momo and thali — and beautifully seasoned. Portion sizes were generous and the overall value was excellent. Highly recommended for anyone craving delicious Himalayan cuisine with great service!

The chow mein we had were delicious, the service is good, sometimes a bit too many people but that’s just because it’s super delicious. 10/10 recommend eating here

Yum, great flavor, kind service, will come again!

This is a fantastic restaurant! We ordered the Paneer Tikka Masala, Mango Lassi, Chicken Momo, naan, and rice, and every dish was incredibly delicious with very generous portions. I truly enjoyed everything, but what surprised me was the chai tea—it was, without question, the best chai I’ve ever had. And it's free.

The service was equally excellent. Narayan was our server, and he was knowledgeable, kind, and efficient, which made the experience even better. We will absolutely be back soon!
