In the quiet town of San Ramon, where the winds of change blow but lightly, I found myself at The Habit. One does not expect much from a chain restaurant in a shopping center, but stoicism teaches us to set our expectations low and our gratitude high.

I ordered the Roasted Garlic Cauliflower—a limited-time offering, much like the fleeting seasons of life. I pondered the impermanence of all things as I added spicy Chipotle sauce, an act of boldness akin to seasoning the mundane with a bit of adventure.

The cauliflower, roasted to a tender crisp and infused with the subtle warmth of garlic, was more than a side—it was a humble reminder that even the simplest things can be elevated. Paired with the fiery embrace of the Chipotle sauce, it was an experience both grounded and exhilarating.

In the end, I left The Habit with a sense of fulfillment, not because the meal was extraordinary, but because I was content with what was offered. As Seneca might say, the good life is not about great things, but the small things well appreciated. And that, my friends, is what The Habit has achieved with their Roasted Garlic Cauliflower.

A bit disappointed that they changed their drink distributor so they no longer carry Vitamin Water drink.

I will give 5 stars when they stop burning my onion rings. I don't know what it is. But every time i go, my onions are burnt. Other than that, the service is great, and the atmosphere is great. Food is good besides my onion rings.

Vegetarian options: My husband eats the impossible burger. He loves it.

I have to say the reason I gave the food a 3/5 star is because the kids meal chicken nugget is very salty and lack of chicken breast inside the food. It is mostly all the crust instead.

Vegetarian options: Yes there is a veggie burger options

Parking: Parking is free and there are plenty of spaces. I would say that it does get packed due to other fast food chain restaurants nearby.

Kid-friendliness: There aren’t many tables or seats around this restaurant. I do not believe it has high chairs.

Wheelchair accessibility: It is easy to access and there is handicap parking right in front of store.

Char burger, was nicely put together, fries were luke warm and on the mushy side, too hungry to return and ask for a re-make. Combo @ $12+ dollars should be on point! Tables could have been bussed more, went in close to 2 PM, not that busy.

We stopped here on Monday evening. After I ordered I noticed how dirty it was behind the counter. If I hadn’t already paid I would have left. The floor where the workers were was littered with garbage. One worker just walked over everything and kicked the trash out of the way. Made no effort to clean up anything. Instead of standing around doing nothing in between customers staff need to be trained to maintain a clean workspace. The food was fine but I doubt that we’ll be back to this Habit. We’ve never been to one this sloppy.

Laziest ran establishment I've ever encountered. They don't even have employees here to take your order, you have to use a stupid electronic machine. Robots will replace all you useless workers in a few years anyways. Absolutely pathetic excuse for a restaurant even by fast food standards.
